this is the second time we've rented this cabin and it works out so well for our family. We have gone in winter both times and it's perfect spot for the kids to ice skate right on the lake outside the door and then we can also snowmobile right from there, either on the trails or just on the lake. We haven't tried the bar/restaurant that's in the front of the cabins b/c it was closed due to lack of staff b/c of COVID. The cabin has just had the kitchen redone and the wood floors put in and it made such a nice difference. All of the bedrooms are good size and have plenty of space for your things. Both bathrooms are great too - plenty of hot water during the cold months. Kitchen is stocked with tons of utensils, plates, bowls, etc. We always bring our own hand soap b/c they only have little bar soaps. We also bring extra blankets b/c the ones on the beds are a little thin. They do have a couple extra blankets and pillows already there - just our preference. We will definitely be coming back in the summer months!We ordered from the pasta place down the street.

My family of 5 had a great time at the Poplar cabin. Big enough, clean and had everything we needed! Would highly recommend. We have stayed at Elbert’s resort over the years, lots of great memories.

The cabin is a traditional Northwoods lakefront cabin that has been well maintained. Newer flooring and light fixtures/fans, plus comfortable beds. The screened in porch was a nice feature. Plenty of space for 5 of us. Well equipped with everything we needed. However, we did not find a remote for the TV in the main living room, but we really weren't there to watch TV. I would recommend this place if staying on Little St. Germain.
