About this house rental
Spend a week nestled at the edge of the beautiful Mattaponi. Use the kayaks or nap on the screened porch made of trees. The ceiling fans should keep you cool or go inside to the air conditioning and hang out in the downstairs lounge with the cherry wood panels and big screen satellite TV,, and TONS of board games. The newly remodeled kitchen is ready to go. Just bring food. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have satellite TV . Soaps, Linens, towels some condiments and coffee sometimes espresso are supplied. The upstairs bedroom has its own lounge and ruby powder room. There are 2 picnic tables. One on the screened porch and one in the Emerald Moss Garden. Most pets are welcome. See most current pictures on instagram aylett_river_paradise. Please note I no longer provide firewood so you have to bring your own. A note about the river: it is tidal . Which means it goes up and down, usually depending on water coming down from Fredericksburg. Also it is not at all brackish! Lovely and fresh and silky and soft. I continuously monitor the river height remotely to be sure you’re going to be safe.

The host is extremely kind and you can see all the thoughtful touches around the property. She has everything there for you to enjoy the river, porch and grounds. Very easy to communicate with. The dogs, kids and myself were all disappointed we couldn't stay longer and would love to come back when we have more time

This was an amazing vacation rental. The host was so kind and helpful and the house had everything we needed to have fun with 3 kids and a dog. Beautiful river views!

Thank you for such a lovely stay! We really appreciated all of the whimsical little touches throughout the space - it felt so cozy and thoughtful. Larkin created such a warm atmosphere, and we truly enjoyed our time here!

Lots of interesting decor, trinkets and games. We enjoyed paddling on the river and really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, including dishwasher. Not too unusual for a property in the woods, we experienced mice and insect pests inside the cabin throughout our stay. During the extremely hot weekend, not all of the air conditioning units functioned properly.
