The “Alte Brennerei” is a spacious and stylishly renovated vacation home with about 160 m² of living space, ideal for up to 6 guests. Located in the heart of Weißenburg’s Old Town, it combines historic charm with modern comfort—perfect for families, couples, or small groups looking for something special.
As part of a 16th-century urban farmstead, this vacation home was formerly used as a distillery. The house sits directly on Weißenburg’s old city wall and was likely part of a defensive tower before it was converted into a farm. Remnants of this can still be seen in the vaulted ceiling of the central section on the first floor. The location of the RefuKium—with its three parts: barn, tannery, and distillery—in downtown Weißenburg is simply brilliant. And we even have a parking spot right outside the door for everyone. It was a great place in the center of town. We were able to walk every wear. Being in contact with the owner when I had a questions that needed answering made it easy. The caretaker of the property also helpful and nice. Great stay for my family of 6.
