About this house rental
A traditional Châtelaillon house. The living area of the house includes an entrance which distributes two bedrooms, a bathroom with sink and separate toilet shower - A living room and adjoining kitchen. From this large room, an exit leads to the 260 m2 wooded garden and to a bathroom on the ground floor. It is very practical for beach returns. In this garden, it is very pleasant to take the meals and to rest, barbecue, deckchairs at your disposal on a wooden terrace of 25 m2. For your comfort flat screen TV, internet connection (wifi and tv) DVD player, washing machine, dishwasher. The beds are made when you enter the house.
If necessary, we are happy to pick you up at La Rochelle train station or airport.
For winter, we have central heating.
In front of the house you will find public parking spaces, 10 spaces available for some houses. It is possible to go from the garden to the street by a side passage along the house.
We can comfortably accommodate 4 people, an additional sofa bed in a room increases the sleeping capacity to 6 persons.

We really enjoyed our stay, the owners were wonderful and so helpful. The main bed wasn’t great so we ended up sleeping in the two twin beds but other than that everything was perfect. Wonderful garden, plancha for cooking our wonderful seafood meals. Bikes are available on the property and we made full use of them and the boulangerie and town centre with an indoor daily market (with amazing fresh seafood stalls) was amazing.

Thank you Francois for a lovely couple of weeks at your house in Chatelaillon-Plage.
The house is well positioned, and a short distance from a delightful town, which we found great pleasure walking around throughout our stay. We loved the garden, as did our dog, with plenty of places to sit either in the sun or shade, and the fig tree at the bottom of the garden provided plenty of delicious fruit for breakfast.
With La Rochelle a short drive away, and plenty of other interesting places to visit within easy distance, we look forward to returning next year.

Very kind owner Francois (and son) expected us at arival tot explain and show us everything in good english. We found a very nice house with everything you need, including 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with a spacious rainshower!). Nice, large and private garden were you can sit in the sun from 10 AM untill later in the evening. Shady trees for those who prefer less sunshine.
Busstop at 50 yards en trainstation at 5 minute walk. From there it's a 10 minute trainride to lovely harbourtown La Rochelle.
Chatelaillon itself is a quit and pleasant little beachvillage (mind you: we were there in june so it could become al little crowdier in the months after...). It has a nice boulevard, good beach, a large stack of older and often beautiful villa's to admire on a stroll and enough restaurants to choose from.
Close to the Cognac region (take your bike or car and explore this beautiful landscape), the marais region and some fine cities to visit.
We had a great time here for little over 2 weeks and will certainly return (which we rarely do). To visit al the places we couldn't in 2 weeks and for this fine spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house in Chatelaillon Plage. The house is well-situated, with an excellent boulangerie a few minutes walk away, as is the local Tourism Office and the railway station which is very handy. It also only takes a few minutes to get to the beach.
The house has every thing you need for a short holiday, and has a lovely garden with trees. The garden is well-equipped - a parasol and dining table/chairs, armchairs and also sun loungers and a barbecue.
The owners were extremely amiable, kind and helpful, even offering to collect us from the airport.
All in all, a very enjoyable week!
