Ideal retreat for families and friends to enjoy all the outdoor activies the Central Plateau has to offer year round.
All comforts catered for your weekend holidays here, cozy woodburner creating a nice ambience on a cool winters night and a heat pump for constant temperature. Great drying room for the gear so you are all set for the next day. Deck to enjoy the sun.
Leave the car at home and take a leisurely stroll to the Junction, super for apres ski fun and entertainment. Restaurants, OCR cafe for best Atomic coffee.. A selection of ski and board hire and retail shops. Mountain bike hire as well as our own Railway Museum and historic buildings.
Ohakune is a super base for regional events many that are held during the ski season Peak to the Keg and others over the summer period, famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Blyths track, Around the mountain hike, motor bike events, cross country encounters, rodeo, fly fishing, Kayaking, rafting, horse riding, mountain biking etc adventure on the River Road to Whanganui the alternate route to the Paraparas.
Excellent visitor information centre to help you plan and utilise your recreational time in the region.

Dishwasher must be stacked and all used white sheets and white pillow covers striped and left on the floor prior to leaving.
All rubbish must be removed from the property.

Spacious, AMAZING shower, comfy beds, nice and homely feel all around. Hob was a little small, but otherwise great kitchen. Great location, good pubfood at walking distance, close to shops, great walking spots and of course a stunning view of Mt Ruapehu. What's not to love?!

Well kept, obviously well loved by owners. Nicely appointed, everything in the kitchen to make life easy! Towels and lovely linen. A lovely holiday house to stay in. Had a hitch with netflix and the owners sorted it straight away. Highly recommend:)
