About this cabin rental

11’-4 x 30’ Custom Cabin, front deck with porch swing, rear deck with 4 person hot tub. It is one bedroom with queen size bed and carpeted loft with two twin mattresses. Loft is big enough to sleep 2 comfortably. One bathroom with 36” x 36” shower. Full efficiency kitchen with basic cooking utensils and tableware for 8. Nice quiet location, easily accessible. Pet friendly with a maximum of two pets. There are two buildings on the site, one is the utility shed and NOT a second cabin. Cabin lies within easy access of all Hocking Hills activities. Landline phone available for use. NO INTERNET…. No cell service in the immediate area.

It is a lovely cabin in a great location. My wife and I enjoyed the nice hot tub together. The only downside is that there is NO cell service, NO internet, NO television. If they made that point in the listing, I missed it. So, basically there is absolutely nothing to do but sit and stare at each other. For a young couple with love on their minds it might be a wonderful setting, but for two old farts in their 60’s and 70’s like us, it was less than ideal. But I want to stress that this was probably brought up in the listing, and it was my fault that I missed it. Other than that, it was a great visit, and the hosts are very nice.

It was a really nice stay for the 2 nights we were here! Service is spotty but that’s okay as it’s expected for the area but would suggest having an offline gps or a map. Having no service wasn’t a problem there was plenty to do without, It’s peaceful and your closest neighbor is across the street and down the road a little bit. There’s a few of local grocery stores/ food places near by, and Walmart is about 30 minutes away. The cabin was cozy and it was nice to be able to change the room temperature with the heating and cooling! There was also an emergency kit in the closet, we didn’t need to use it but it’s nice to see!

Came for a weekend away with our little family. The cabin was beautiful, clean and just perfect for me, my husband and our pups. The hot tub was amazing to end our evenings in. We'd definitely would stay again at Bear Cabin!

We stayed here due to its forested/peaceful location; it's proximity to the Hocking State Park attractions; and it's convenient amenities. The cabin provided all of those and more. The hot tub was a great way to end a day of hiking; our kids (12 and 10 yrs old) loved the loft; and the solitude was the perfect way to unwind for a couple days.

This is our 2nd time staying at Bear Cabin. We love the land that it is situated on. We also love the no wifi and cell phone access. My only recommendation is to look up trails ahead of time and have a plan. We would drive to the local gas station down the road to load our gps.
