was ok. appliances need replaced. hot tub should not be advertised or considered in the cost due to it being unusable. dumping an overload of chlorine does not remedy its problems. it is disgusting. we were really looking forward to using it. these things speak volumes of the owner.

We did have a fun trip at hocking hills and the cabin served its purpose and we had a great time. However, I strongly suggest you read the reviews people are leaving about this facility because they are accurate. The cabin is very old dirty and just feels so unsanitary. The windows don’t have screens. The silverware/mugs were disgusting and the furniture was dirty. The fridge was nasty as well as the stove and oven. We could not close the bathroom door as it’s leaning, the showers were gross and the chairs provided inside the closet were nasty. The driveway is so ridiculously rough you need to consider getting that fixed it’s very unpleasant. We also found cockroaches on the premises and I took a photo. The bedroom fan was so small and did absolutely nothing. Just feels like there’s no effort and I feel like I payed way too much money to stay there. Unfortunately, we will never be back and we will strongly encourage other people to look elsewhere.

Upon arrival this cabin was so filthy we did not stay. We went to a hotel instead. Waiting to see if we can get a refund

I enjoyed the stay because of my boyfriend. Everything is fun with him. Now the cabin. Meh. Ive stayed in about 8 different cabins all over hocking hills. This one being the least favorite. Dog hain in sheets and a badly busted hot tub cover. Temperature control stuck ect.

The first thing was the hot tub was absolutely disgusting and that’s what we were looking forward too. We were not able to get into the hot tub . The bedding had dog hair on it when we fluffed it out so we slept on the couch . I don’t think they had even been cleaned. Everything was outdated, the water was aweful.

Smaller than it looks in the pictures. Had a tv but needed internet to watch which was not available. Bring blankets if staying durning winter months heater does not heat the bedrooms very well.

Found multiple roaches and hottub was far too dirty to get in, but other than that it was fine.
6.0 / 10.0
Pros:
Clean tidy living room and bedroom areas
Clean inside fridge/freezer
Toilet and bathroom sink clean
Location
Hot tub
Cons:
Extremely rough and scary driveway. This needs to be communicated to guests before booking. Would not come back due to the driveway alone.
Mold in shower
Dirty pans and old food in oven drawer
Rusted oven and fridge
Broken heater
Burnt out light in kitchen
4.0 / 10.0
If you are thinking about booking this cabin, please be aware that there is an extremely rough and scary driveway up the property to get to this cabin and any other Blue Rose cabins. It is a narrow gravel driveway with potholes, sharp corners, and steep inclines and declines. Your car may not make it. Once you get the confirmation email a few days before arrival, they warn you, but this is after you have already booked and they tell you they cannot refund your money if you cannot make it up the driveway. Other negatives: black mold in very tiny shower, broken kitchen ceiling light, broken heater (arrow buttons to set temp did not work, though it did turn on and off), dirty pans and old food in oven drawer, rusted oven and fridge on outside (though the inside of the fridge/freezer was fine, and the oven worked well enough). Pros: hot tub worked well, nice location on top of the mountain if you can make it to the cabin, clean living room and bedroom, clean bathroom other than the shower, nice deck area with nice view. I would not return because of the driveway.

The place would have been great if not for roaches. We ended up keeping all the food in the car and leaving a day early. When I made dinner and immediately had to throw it out because there were roaches on it before I could serve it, that was the final straw. We packed up and got out of there. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the property is beautiful. When we were looking around the first night we found old food under the couch cushions. So the cleanliness wasn’t great either.

It was nice to get away.

Very surprised more people didnt mention the VERY steep rocky road that leads to the cabin (its the very last cabin on the road) if you dont have 4wd you best keep that momentum or youll be backing up to try again and again.
With that being said, its a decent little cabin. The light in the hot tub doesnt work but not the end of the world. Very secluded which is what we wanted. We would stay here again but absolutely wouldnt drive a 2wd sedan up there.

The a/c unit was so noisy we couldn’t sleep. Not very clean. The bed had noticeable stains on the mattress 🙁 there were cobwebs in places. Kitchen appliances were all rusted.
4.0 / 10.0
One of our teenagers fell on the steps and the bed situation seemed misleading. There is one bed in each room and a pull out sofa. The mattresses and appliances were old and there were cobwebs in the corners of the living room. The water also had a smell. However the location is remote and during the summer you can’t even see other cabins.

The stay was good for the most part and was convenient to coming back from Hocking Hills however the front door would not lock and we didnt feel very safe. There was a group of us and we didnt sleep at all as we were uncomfortable and uneasy that the door would not locked.

Cabin was alright. Make sure ya have all wheel drive SUV or truck with 4x4!! My front drive SUV nearly didn't make it up the hill

We just wanted a quiet girls night away, and this location delivered! Everything was as described, and made it simple to follow directions to find the cabin. The only thing i would suggest, would be that i recommend adding lighting to the patio stairway. At night its a bit too dark.

Quite, you can't see your neighbors, could use some updates.

Good private cabin, a little dated. Could use a better road to get in. The hills were kind of rough if you don't have a 4 wheel drive.

My family and I came in for Father’s Day and i don’t know what i expected but it wasn’t this. We got in and immediately seen a plethora of spiders and not the regular amount, they were huge and at least 40 in just the living area.
Then we went over to use the restroom and the sink and toilet did not work or flush properly, we had to fix it ourselves as there was no service (as to be expected) to contact the host.
The beds had some bugs and critters so we didn’t get good sleep. Lastly the hot tub was complete filth! It clearly was not cleaned from the last company as there was a condom at the bottom stuck in a jet. Gross! Imagine telling your kids they can’t go in the hot tub they so eagerly and patiently waited for.

We had a great time.
8.0 / 10.0
The Pros: It was a cute little cabin with everything we needed, supplied for us. The hot tub was a welcome activity after a day of hiking.
The Cons: ANTS! We knew that there would be bugs back in the woods, but there were so many ants in the cabin. Once we bought ant traps and placed them around in the cabin, it helped. You really do need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get back to the cabins on the gravel road.
Over all, it was a nice place to come home to after hiking all day.
4.0 / 10.0
The cabin was far older and the things inside had seen far better days. The door was rusted on the bottom and was very hard to close. The water was awful and the smell was terrible. Had to use bottled water at all times. The stove was very rusty and the refrigerator looked like it had been beaten on. Something was leaking from the hot tub and the ground under the cabin was very wet and hard to walk on. You need to explain that the way to get back to the cabin is a two track. I just didn’t feel the explanation or pictures were correct.

Secluded, quiet, exactly what I was looking for.

We only stayed one night but it worked great to be close by to Hocking Hills and where we wanted to hike the next day. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. Property was what we expected. Easy to make a couple meals while we were there and everyone was pretty comfy in the two separate rooms. Only complaint was that the heater was a little noisy/rattly. Thanks!

Could use some care !!
8.0 / 10.0
The heater was rather noisy. Also, we had to clean the bathroom floor when we arrived as it did not appear to have been swept. In addition we had to clean the stove as it looked like somebody cooked tomato soup and ran it over and the front of the stove had dry soup all over it. Would still return here for another stay in the future.

A very. Ice place to stay if you can get up the stone road with a ton of pot holes! We got stuck twice truing to get up the hill to our cabin. Oh and fine print on rental agreement states that 4 wheel drive or SUV is required during the winter months. .I wish I would have known that when I paid for the cabin at the very top of the hill .I will definitely stay her again .but bring a different vehicle

The front door was falling apart, the bathroom door sticks so bad you think you’ll never get out of there, the dvd player says it need Wi-Fi to operate and the hot tub temp was heywire most of the time and wouldn’t go over 102 but. Outlying stuck on 99 degrees! So wasn’t warn enough for the late fall (hot tub) and last but not least the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain which made it unusable! Had to brush teeth in kitchen sink. The directions were extremely hard to fallow took over an hr to find the actual cabin! I won’t be staying there again.

Our family loved staying in this cabin. It was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed for a family getaway. It was a close drive to all the hiking and parks yet far enough that we were away from most tourists. The cabin had what we needed and we all enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit in the evenings.

Loved the cabin, was clean! furniture a little worn/dated but is better than the pics, road to cabin would highly recommend all wheel drive/4 wheel drive any time of year, deep ruts, gravel gets spun out climbing the 2 steep hills but worth it to be at hilltop location, in the woods, setting so nice!! Entry door latch and bathroom door latches need fixed, asap! We kept getting stuck in the bathroom! Jacuzzi so nice and hot but only half the jets worked and no lights but was still so relaxing and my young adult children loved it too!! Could use an extra light at corner of rail by steps, extra fall hazard at night. We would love to stay here again, peaceful retreat! May want to bring your own towels, bath towels small and thin, glad we brought beach towels.

THERE WAS NO FIREPLACE AS ADVERTIZED, THE GRILL WAS A JOKE , HAD TO CLEAN UP DEAD BUGS, THE ENTRY ROAD IS REAL BAD, HAD TO CLEAN OUT FIRE PIT JUST TO USE IT

Beautiful place to stay! This was our second stay and it is very nice! Hard to get to if you don’t have four wheel drive. The bathroom door does tend to stick when you go to shut it completely. Also, a little humid in the cabin. Very nice otherwise!

Overall we enjoyed our one night stay in Pineridge cabin. We would stay here again for sure, but would be better prepared next time.
The owner was very responsive when we reached out. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was very cozy.
Some things we would recommend or that we wish would have been mentioned in the other reviews/booking info:
-Better stocked kitchen or at least disclosing the basics that are provided so we could bring what was needed. There were no measuring cups, hot pads, or cooking spay/oil so we were very unprepared to cook even just the pancake mix we brought.
-It's well water, which we anticipated, so we had brought our own drinking water.
-The floor had a thick film on it from the cleaning supplies used. It made it slippery and kind of slimy feeling. We all chose to wear our shoes the whole time because of the unpleasant feeling.
-Screens in windows to allow fresh air without letting in bugs. The smell of cleaning supplies was so strong along with something else like cigarette smoke that we had to open up the windows immediately to air out the cabin.
-The shower was hard to use because the shower head didn't bend down enough. I'm 5'5 and had a hard time rinsing off my body below upper chest area. Maybe a new shower head that bends more or one with a hose so it can be brought down would work better.

We stayed here following Hippie Fest. We had a bit of trouble finding the place. GPS tool us to a nearby campground. But locals sent us in the right direction. Loved the hot tub! Would've loved the fire pit, but it was wet from earlier rain. Cozy & quaint. The well water had a bad smell... but it definitely beat tent camping.

We had a great girls trip! Secluded location, comfortable beds. We loved the relaxation in the hot tub.
