About this cabin rental
Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. It is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, miniature donkey and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

This stay was nothing short of perfect, in large part due to Melba and her family were incredible hosts. My husband and I drove up from TN for a family reunion, and loved having a place to stay all to ourselves. The location was great--only about 20 minutes to where we needed to go in any direction. Melba even gave us permission to go look at their new baby goats, which absolutely made my day. I cannot wait to come back! I will mention that it does get bright as the sun rises, and the best is VERY soft. Neither of those things bother me, but if you like to sleep in and/or prefer a firm mattress, you may not get the best sleep while staying here.

We enjoyed week in a beautiful home with a stunning view from the best porch swing, complete with excellent WiFi, fresh eggs from the chickens next door, and baby goats. What more could we ask for? My husband and I were looking for rest and peace, and that’s exactly what we got. Melba was an excellent host and even invited us to see the birth of two beautiful baby goats. Snuggling with those babies during their first few days of life was the BEST! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, with soft linens and lots of pillows, and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was a great extra touch.
