About this apartment rental
Beautiful views are seen from anywhere in this comfortably decorated condominium. Sliding glass doors give access to two spacious lanais where views of the Pacific Ocean, Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
This amazing, 1000sq.ft, ocean-view condominium is located on the tenth floor on the coolest and most desired side of the property. Our condominium features a classic tropical theme, koa wood plank flooring, Shoji-Hawaii room divider, 2-bedrooms, 2-bathrooms (one includes handicap safety features and accessibility), fully equipped kitchen, dining & living room with a desk for personal or business use, and two large lanais for enjoying the views with morning coffee and/or sharing evening meals.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom features twin beds that can convert into a king size bed. In the living room, there is a queen size sofa bed. This unit can sleep six people.
It has two HD LCD flat-screen TVs, a split AC system, and free cable, Internet, a library of novels (take one /leave one) and games.

There is valet parking available at a daily rate with NO self-park option available.
We recommend renting a reasonably priced car on a daily basis. Hertz and Dollar car rental are located in the Ilikai lobby and Enterprise car rental agency is located in the Discovery Bay building across the street.
Public transportation is available and easy! When on the island that is how we get around!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and there were several highlights. The location was excellent, with easy access to Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, and Hanauma Bay. The views from the unit were beautiful, and we loved having the ice cream shop in the lobby. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, salt, and pepper, which made preparing meals convenient.There were, however, a few downsides. The unit was much noisier than expected due to the many windows, doors, thin walls, street traffic, loud music, and frequent emergency vehicles, especially in the evenings. With small children, this made sleeping difficult. The listing mentions two beds that can be pushed together, but they easily slide apart and don't function well as a king bed. The queen mattress was heavily worn with deep indentations and a raised center, and the mattress protector had noticeable stains. We also couldn't get the TV to connect to cable, though that wasn't a major issue.We wish we'd known there were books and games stored in the TV stand before our last day. The elevator was out of service for our entire stay, forcing us to carry a stroller up and down two flights of stairs daily. We also witnessed an older gentleman with a walker fall on the narrow escalator, and there appeared to be little assistance provided. There were no ADA ramps. Parking was very expensive, at 45/day and valet service was slow. Overall, the views and location were wonderful, but the price felt high considering these issues.
