This secluded, vacation home rental is located in a peaceful, Northwoods lakefront setting in the Chequamegon National Forest on Spider Lake. This log home is centrally located in the Chequamegon forest yet only minutes from Clam Lake Wi where you can find gas, supplies and dining and only a few miles from Mellen and Clam Lake making it a great location from which to explore the area including nearby St. Peter’s Dome Overlook, Copper Falls State Park, Ashland, Bayfield and Lake Superior or head over to Hayward WI for unique shopping, family fun with go karts or even go to the Fishing Hall of Fame Museum.
Relax on the wrap around deck overlooking the lakefront, dock, fire ring and swimming area. There is a row boat included with the rental and the boat landing is right down the road. The lakeside dining room offers panoramic views of the outdoors. The island kitchen comes fully furnished with everything you need including drip coffeepot, microwave, oven/range, full-size refrigerator and dishwasher. Main floor bedroom has a beautiful log king bed and full bath. There is a loft bedroom with two twin beds and a half bath. The walkout lower level has two bedrooms, one bedroom with a queen size bed and 1/2 bath; one bedroom with a full-size bed, full-size futon and full bath. This charming cabin is one that you will want to come back to year after year.
Spider Lake is known for good fishing of Crappies, Panfish and Walleye and generally peaceful spot in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.

Beautiful property with a lovely view of the lake. The cabin was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I was impressed with how well appointed the kitchen was. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. Would happily stay again if we are ever in the area..

We had a great time at the Birch Haven log cabin despite the colder August weather! The cabin was stocked with any cooking utensil you could ever need and we appreciated hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent being provided! The twin beds in the loft were not comfortable, so that was our only complaint. Unfortunately, my sons who are avid fisherman didn't get a single bite from the dock or out on the lake in the row boat. But that's why they call it fishing and not catching!

Overall well pleased. Pretty quick response when we had a bat flying around in the home. Not all amenities listed that would have been nice to know about. Little frustrated with fact shower door in master bath did not work poorly and we gave up using it the last couple days. Few other maintenance issues. Enjoyed privacy, was clean, etc.
