About this house rental
Truly refined lake home with over 4,200 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 split-granite fireplaces, dramatic living spaces and world class views of much sought-after Lake Owen.
The whitewashed cedar interior of this luxury lake home is open and spacious featuring extensive glass and deck space allowing guests to admire the lake views from almost every room.
The main floor living room with its vaulted ceiling and large, granite wood burning fireplace opens into a sitting area surrounding a large, flat screen TV perfect for gathering with friends and family in a comfortable setting. The lakeside dining room and sitting area is surrounded on three sides by glass offering stunning, panoramic vistas of the lake and surrounding forest.
The gourmet kitchen serves as a central hub opening up to the living room with seating available at the counter and a pass through window to the dining room. The kitchen has granite countertops, wet bar, wine fridge, dishwasher, refrigerator and stainless steel microwave, Wolf range and electric stove top.
There are two large bedrooms and one full bath on the main floor. The large bath has a double sink and tiled shower. One main floor bedroom has two twin beds and the lakeside bedroom has a queen bed and walkout access to a deck overlooking the lake.
The upstairs features another 2 bedrooms and large bath. At the top of the stairs are two more twin beds and next to them is another lakeside bedroom with a private deck overlooking Lake Owen. The large bath upstairs has his and hers sinks, walk-in shower and separate bath tub.
With over 4,000 square feet this amazing lake home has it all including a spacious, carpeted lower level with family room, second granite fireplace, living room with large screen TV, wet bar, full bath, laundry room and a fifth bedroom.
Other amenities include ceiling fans in all bedrooms, washer/dryer, central air, Cable TV and Wi-Fi Internet.
The walkout lower level includes a spacious sun room where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Owen and opens up to a covered patio area outside. Walk down to a private dock and enjoy the crystal clear water of the lake.
Lake Owen is known for its clear water, miles of undeveloped shoreline, excellent boating, good fishing and natural beauty. Nestled in a little cove on the southern end of Lake Owen, Serenity offers guests privacy and refinement during their stay in Wisconsin’s Northwoods!
*We have been working with the Department of Health and have new cleaning standards and procedures for all our Beds. On each bed we will provide sheets, pillow and pillow case and blankets. You will need to bring your own towels and any soaps.

This is our 5th year staying at Serenity at Lake Owen and we will continue to return each year. We love the location and home! The rental process could not go smoother every single year and we are so thankful for the folks at recreational rentals.Only a few suggestions - second fridge in basement was removed which for a group it’s very difficult to only have one fridge for a week.

This site was as pictured. Our stay was only two nights and we only used one bedroom. Top notch laundry room. Dining room has beautiful lake views. Nice fire ring outside, which was perfect for cool May evenings. Easy to find--Apple Maps took us right to the address. Close to Cable, which has a library, grocery store, and hardware store. We hope to return!

The house was beautiful, the lake is amazing and our stay was overall awesome with a few things that need to be addressed.
This is a 4 bedroom house with a loft. Not 3 as listed. The beds were very comfortable, there was the nice surprise of having a pool table but the cue sticks were very warped. I was surprised there was no furniture outside at all. Nowhere to sit outside and enjoy the lake. As someone who has rental property and knows what management companies should take care of, I was disappointed in communication from the management company. Texted asking for kayak and paddle board, no reply. Texted next day and she said she never got our text.
1. The front door handle was broken, people got randomly "locked out" despite the door not being locked
2. Several light bulbs were either missing or just burnt out. We spent over an hour the first night trying to locate the switch for the lights down to the lake. I texted the manager and she called me to tell me she didn't know & I should just try all the switches, which I had. The next day we figured out 2 of the bulbs were just unscrewed while the ones to the lake were burnt out & required a screwdriver to replace the bulbs (which we did for them).
3. The shower upstairs has one showerhead that doesn't work, not a dealbreaker but should be looked at.
4. The toilet seat downstairs moves when you sit on it, thus exposing you to the rim & it's easy to pinch yourself on it. This is an easy fix, so why not just take care of it?
5. Most of the kitchen drawers & silverware holder were dirty, which is very gross.
6. Dishes were not clean. One steak knife had someone's steak still on it.
7. There are very few items for cooking. The 1 baking pan was coated. The coating comes off on the food you cook. There were no glass baking dishes. There are no serving spoons, just large regular spoons. The one serving spoon can't even scoop scrambled eggs.
8. The house had tin foil, but it would be nice to have baggies supplied/mention the need to bring these items with.
9. Grill was very dirty
10. The biggest issue was the boat. I have an email from them assuring me the boat would be there at 4pm on arrival day. I paid for 4 days. The boat showed up at 830pm when it was too dark to use. I did receive $100 credit but that doesn't cover the cost to rent it for that day. The boat was very dirty. Cupholders and seats have black mold.
Would stay here again if there were new managers. Again, house great, managers - no.
