Le Querce dei Medici, a welcoming old manor house used by the Signoria of the Medici as a hunting lodge, lies in a hilly position in the unique scenery of the green hills of the Florentine Mugello. The recent attentive renovation carried out by the owners has rendered the villa particularly comfortable for its guests, while respecting the typical characteristics of its history. Particular attention was paid to the use of typical materials of the period in order not to alter the uniqueness of the villa, such as the wooden ceilings with terracotta tiles, the terracotta floors on the ground floor, the sandstone of the typical fireplace or the beautiful round terracotta arch dividing the living room. Large elegant rooms embellished with antiques, spacious cosy bedrooms, a well-lit and fully-equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden with private swimming pool, all make this property the perfect destination for family reunions or for hosting large groups of friends looking for a relaxing stay in a tranquil setting. Very close to the most beautiful city of Tuscany, Florence, as well as to various attractions such as the Poggio dei Medici golf club, 3 km away, Lago di Bilancino with beach facilities, 5 km away, a fly fishing reserve on the Sieve river, 500 m away, and the famous Mugello race track owned by Ferrari, 6 km away. The exterior of the villa spreads out in a riot of colourful flowers, with areas dedicated to aromatic herbs and pergolas of wisteria with their intoxicating scent, all surrounded by multicoloured hedges in the shade of centuries-old oaks where guests can relax in the set-up areas. Furthermore, its location, a few kilometres from the motorway exit, allows you to get quickly to the principal Tuscan cities of art such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the characteristic villages of the Florentine Chianti. NB Within the property, the barn, which is 50 meters from the house, is available to the owners but the garden and the pool will be for the exclusive use of the guests. In case the owners are present they will be very discreet and respect your privacy.

Interior:
The house has two floors. The main entrance is located in the area facing the lawn that leads to the swimming pool. Going into the elegant entrance are two doors which lead to the large dining room with antique stone fireplace, the fully-equipped kitchen, the living room with round terracotta arch and the service bathroom with washing machine. A typical stone staircase leads up to the first floor with the sleeping area consisting of three doubles, a double with king-size bed, a double with divisible bed, a bathroom with jacuzzi and shower, three bathrooms with shower, a bathroom with tub (all are en suite). On the lower floor with access from outside, there is a small apartment consisting of a sitting room with stovetop and double sofa bed with air conditioning , a double bedroom with fan and a shower bathroom. Air conditioning only in the bedrooms.

Park:
Le Querce dei Medici lies within a beautiful park embellished with large areas of lawn and bordered by hedges to guard your privacy, all surrounded by vast expanses of vineyards that will frame your unforgettable holidays. In the large garden shaded by centuries-old oaks, you will be greeted by an explosion of colourful flowers, by lemons typical of the area and by a corner dedicated to aromatic herbs that you can use to create typical Tuscan dishes. Within the park are numerous shady areas ideal for relaxing in. Under the shade of a wisteria-covered pergola is a large table for outdoor meals with a fully-equipped BBQ at your disposal.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool, located in the lower part of the property and bordered by large vineyards, is 40 m from the house and reached by a flight of steps across the lawn in front of the entrance to the house. It has a large solarium in travertine, shaded by large umbrellas and equipped with comfortable deck chairs, little tables and a gazebo. Adjacent to the gazebo is a small annex containing a bathroom with shower and a changing room. The rectangular pool measures 6 x 12 m with a variable depth 0.50 to 1.50 m. and is lined in sand-coloured PVC. It has Roman steps for access to the water and both internal and external lighting along the perimeter. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

Pets: Yes, small size. € 50,00 per animal per week to be paid on site.,  up to 2 animals.
