About this cottage rental
Enjoy a secluded stay in a peaceful country setting. Our modern shipping container home is nestled on a hillside in the corner of our 160 acre farm. This unique space has 2 bedrooms, each bedroom has a queen bed and full closet. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, making it perfect for two couples. The home is complete with a fully stocked kitchen and a bathroom, a commons area and a deck overlooking the countryside. A beautiful 5 min drive from Viroqua and Westby, WI. Two quaint small towns with lots to offer. The Driftless region has a wide variety of year-round outdoors activities to offer. Spend the day trout fishing on nearby streams, biking the Driftless area, canoe the Kickapoo river, or go for a hike at our many parks, and return to the peace and quiet. Enjoy the scenery from the deck or have a bon fire.

A little slice of heaven! My husband and I spent 5 nights celebrating our wedding anniversary. This property was the perfect home. Sort of like a tree house experience. Everything was so private with the occasional tractor in the field. Our favorites; hearing the clapping of hooves from the Amish horse and buggy driving by each day, the birds singing, the dead quiet at night, the location of the deck. The summer sun hits the deck around 1:30 so it’s cool when it needs to be and warm/hot at the right time. I highly recommend for relaxing and unplugging from the everyday. We will be back.

Thank You, Austin and Cheryl, for offering such a great place to enjoy that is welcoming, comfortable, and beautiful. The container design is really cool - what a good idea to have mini-patios off of each of the bedrooms! We had coffee on them every morning. Beyond that, the home was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. We used the deck and cooked out most nights. We also used the fire pit and appreciated having wood made available. My sister and I came for a weekend get away to bike the Elroy Sparta Trail which is one of our favorites. We're familiar with the area so it was fun to visit our old haunts as well as find new ones. (If you're into pizza, visit the Footjoy Farm and Brewery in Melvina. Funky spot with good food and craft beer.) I'll be back!

We loved our stay at this getaway! This place is clean, beautifully decorated , a great country vibe, quiet, comfortable furnishings, and a ‘I want to come back’ feeling to it. And we will, come back!!! So close to great food, artsy places, and great visitor places! (We loved Branches Winery!).

We have stayed in a lot of VRBO's and this one is in our top 10. Well stocked with everything you could think of. Very private area and we enjoyed the deck and the fire circle in the yard. We had smores with our grandson. We will definitely stay here in the future when we come to visit our family.
