Bishop Creek Cabin, located in the Driftless region of Wisconsin in Vernon County, is an outdoor lover's paradise. Imagine a cabin, nestled into a hillside over-looking a spectacular river valley with large bluffs in every direction. This cozy Amish crafted cabin that was built in 2006 has been fully updated with new appliances, beds, bedding, bathroom and utilities. Located across the road, within 180 feet of Bishop Creek, a Class I Trout Stream, and ¾ of a mile from the West Fork Kickapoo River, one of Wisconsin's top 5 trout streams, makes this property the ideal location to catch the trout of a lifetime! In the mornings and evenings you can see the trout rising to the latest hatch. A variety of wildlife including whitetail deer, turkeys, and wood ducks are often viewed from the front porch. The cabin features a full kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower, living room, and loft with sleeping areas. Small, good location, some concerns. The host graciously allowed us to charge our electric car on his outdoor plug; he also led us to places nearby where we could charge. The cabin could use a refreshing, and visitors should know the climb to the loft has only one railing and is quite steep. Although we knew it was "pet friendly" from the ad, we were a bit overwhelmed by the dog odor. But it worked for our fishing adventure. (Road noise was also very loud ... but again, we knew it was a possibility).
