About this house rental
Welcome to our charming countryside house located in the western part of Crete, in the Cretan typical village of Rodopos. The village Rodopos is a typical Cretan village where you will discover the authentic Crete, far from noisy cities and big hotels.
It's the best place if you want to relax and the position is perfect if you want to discover the famous beaches Balos, Elafonisi and Falasarna(All of the beaches located in the west part of Crete).
In the village, you will find a mini-market for basic shopping, cafes, a bakery and a restaurant. We propose to visit the local shops because the prices are really fair and you will discover Cretan hospitality.
If you want to visit a bigger city, Chania city is only 35 minutes far where you can find a lot of shops and bars and restaurants.
If you want to find more shops close to the village Rodopos, then at the village Kolimvari you will find a big supermarket and a lot of restaurants, cafe and bars. Kolimvari village is only 12 minutes far from the house.
The village of Rodopou is a very quiet and authentic place where most of the inhabitants are working for agriculture (production of honey, olive oil, wine).
Christine Countryside House is fully renovated (2020) and the main construction materials are wood and stone. The house is built in a traditional way and has all the modern comforts.
Christine Countryside House consists of the ground floor, the first floor and the outdoor area.
Ground floor :
On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, an open space with a dining table, a salon with a sofa and armchairs, a TV and a fireplace.
An indoor wooden stair leads you to the first floor, where you will find:
1) A bedroom with a double bed, a TV and a balcony with a small table and 2 chairs.
2)A bedroom with 2 single beds, a TV and a balcony with a small table and 2 chairs.
3)A fully equipped bathroom with a laundry machine.
4)A closet room where you can store your clothes.
Outdoor area:
Outside you will find a big wooden dining table and a barbecue where you can enjoy with your family and your friends your meals.
All the rooms have air-conditioning, a heater and free wi-fi. There is free parking for one car.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a little tricky to find the house, but Christina was very helpful and welcoming. She had treats for us and provided us with some other food/staples.
The town is cute and friendly, the local restaurant was very good. It was 45-60 minutes from the Chania airport.
The space was great for our family and the outdoor patio was nice for meals.

We enjoyed our stay at the Countryside house in every single way! It is located in a beautiful and traditional village, quiet and good for relaxation. We used a rental car for shopping and trips, with good distances to the beautiful beaches Falassarna, Elafonisi and Balos. We were so warmly welcomed by Christine and her daughter! The fridge was filled with lots of food, fresh lemons from their own garden and we were suprised with traditional Cretian food during our stay which was left at the front door. The house was even better, bigger, and more beautiful than the pictures already show. Everything is completely modern and renovated, with a high standard and love to details. The kitchen is even better equipped than your own at home - perfect for cooking dinner after a day at the beach. We enjoyed our meals on the spacious terrace. Thank you for making this a perfect vacation for us! We would have loved to stay longer and can fully recommend this house and its hosts!
