Sleeping up to four guests and welcoming one dog, perfect for couples, friends or small families seeking an intimate and peaceful escape in Suffolk.
Step inside The Town House and it immediately feels warm and inviting. The ground floor opens with a welcoming porch and hallway, leading into a charming dining room with seating for four and a selection of books and board games for relaxed afternoons together. From here, the bright kitchen and breakfast room flows effortlessly, equipped with modern appliances and a table for four, with doors opening onto the patio to enjoy morning coffee while soaking up garden views. The sitting room, with exposed beams, stonework, sofas, and a cosy electric fire, provides the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the Suffolk Coast. Upstairs, the master bedroom with a 4'6" double bed and built-in storage offers a restful retreat, while the second bedroom features two 3' twin beds, complemented by a family bathroom with bath and shower for convenience and comfort.
Outside, the cottage is a true haven. A pretty paved patio at the rear leads to a large, fully enclosed south-easterly facing terraced garden, with steps and seating for six, ideal for alfresco dining or relaxing in the tranquil surroundings. The front garden with a paved approach adds charm to the traditional façade, while the location offers effortless access to scenic walks across Hollesley Heath and Rendlesham Forest. We really loved this house. It's been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. Its all very functional and easy. The estate agent who manages the house was very easy to deal with, eg when we wanted to stay an extra night.
The area has tons to offer (albeit some places are a 40 minute drive). Sutton Hoo just down the road, then Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle, Aldeburgh and Southwold (for any George Orwell fans!). Woodbridge is a nice local town, and there are some good walks in the surrounding countryside.
Would very happily stay in this house again.

From arrival we fell in love with the property. Charming and unusual. Very clean and perfect selection of items left for arrival so we could sit in the lovely garden with a cup of tea. We didn't realise there was a shop virtually opposite which was ideal. The pub has limited opening hours which was a bit of a shock but we soon found that applied to a lot of places which made us giggle and cautious about checking before setting off anywhere. We had a massive downpour the first morning which turned 'the street' into a river but other than that was really hot and sunny so we saw Suffolk at its best. No complaints at all just compliments. We were particularly touched with the addition of fresh flowers upstairs and downstairs which is the kind of gesture that shows you are staying somewhere special.
