The lodge was clean, well equipped and modern. It had free WiFi and a welcome dog pack too, bonus! There was one twin room, one king room with ensuite, one family bathroom and open plan living/dining/kitchen area. It had sliding doors into an enclosed decking area with table and chairs. The only downside we could find was that the seating arrangement wasn't comfortable for 4 people. There was one 2 seater sofa and 2 chairs. The chairs were extremely comfortable for watching tv and relaxing. Other than that, we loved it.

The lodge was really nice and clean with everything you need. The only slight thing was I didn’t find the sofa that comfortable but not a problem.

Overall the lodge was great. We enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights. The sofas do need an upgrade though. Cold and uncomfortable. I could also smell dog wee in some areas where the carpet was. The site is also great too. Staff are helpful and staff are always ensuring the site is clean and safe. I do wish there were more for children to do, e.g a park play area or something. There’s a large dog run area which would also have enough room for a mini park here too. We had food at the restaurant on site which was nice :) The town is 10-15 mins away and has lots of shops to visit. Some good bakeries. We visited Ashbourne park afew times too which is a great park. Lots of things for children to do. We also did Tissington trail and hired 2 bikes. Definitely recommend the bike hire shop located on the carpark at the start of the trail. If there were more for children to do I think we would return. Thank you :)

Create more entertainment for kids but I will say it’s a safe area for holidays

The accommodation was lovely , the way it was decorated was different to any lodges I’ve stayed in previously. The decor was tastefully done , with beautiful rustic style wood effect panelling in the bedrooms and bathrooms . There were also beautiful vintage style filament wall lights throughout. The rooms were both very spacious as was both bathrooms . There was also a TV in each bedroom . There was plenty of storage available to put your clothing and your luggage . In the main hallway , there was a very convenient bench that was designed to place your boots or whatever footwear you are wearing . This was very handy as we were visiting in November and there was snow . So no trailing wet footwear around the lodge . The beds were very comfortable also . All in all a very pleasant stay

The lodge was a generous size. Everything was provided for. The decking area was lovely and spacious, although we couldn't use it as we had snow. The bedrooms were a generous size. It needs a slight dusting but everything was clean so I can't moan about a little dust here and there.
