About this villa rental
Sitting in 20 hectares, bordering Tuscany and Umbria, Casa Sorbello enjoys commanding views overlooking the beautiful green Niccone valley, with its two medieval castles. The house is about 1km from the main road down a quiet lane. Round the house there is a garden where you can sit and relax and watch the breeze ripple the silver leaves of the olive trees, or take a dip in the pool. Breakfast or dinner on the south-facing terrace, with magnificent views to the rolling Umbrian hills, is a special feature of the house.

The cottage is secluded in the woods, which is a major plus. Situated on a hill, it offers peace and a beautiful view of nature. However, it means you need to drive at least 10 minutes to reach the nearest shop or bakery. The house was well-equipped, with mosquito nets in all rooms, so we had no issues with insects. We did miss having parasols by the pool.We would recommend this vacation home, but not for families with small children like ours. The house is not suited for them, and the garden is not enclosed, posing a constant risk of falls. Despite informing our arrival time in advance, no one was there to welcome us (the key was in the door). Later, Madeleine came by to give a brief explanation. It was nice that she lived next door and occasionally dropped by (e.g., with tomatoes or to lend laundry detergent).

Nice house in Tuscany Style with amazing location on a mountain. Really great pool and generous space for 4-6 persons. Great area with many nice locations like Assissi, Pienza, Siena, Cortona etc.
We would not book this house again because of too many horsefly insects at the Pool and mosquitos in the house. Also missing aircondition leads to too high temperature especially at nights. Really nice house with small deficits.
