ALL Brand new LG appliances (kitchen, laundry, TV), new top of the line easy-to-use dry / steam 6 person sauna with Himalayan Salt , new 4 dimensional heated massage chair, new commercial grade 4 person jet hot tub, all new premium 10-12” memory foam mattresses, new 100 cotton towels, spa towels, and sheets. New Down filled pillows and blankets. New walk-in shower. Doggie vacation - New dog area with large attractive cage, beds, bowls, toys, towels, etc. Entire first floor has been completely remodeled. Entire cabin sleeps 10 in 7 beds. Most relaxing place you’ll find! You can only hear birds & wind. Cabin located in the middle of PRIVATE, all to yourself, 30 acres of wooded land with 2 miles of hiking trails. Stand alone single family home / log cabin. Trails are great for hiking, wildlife watching, cross country skiing, 4 wheelers / side-by-side, and snowmobiling.*

WINTER MONTHS - snow removal service for driveway and side walk is included in rate.
Holidays - decorations available if you wish to decorate and you may select a tree from the forest.
5-15 minutes from Lake Michigan, Portage Lake, Bear Lake, and Arcadia Buffs.
20 minutes to Manistee and 50 minutes to Traverse City.
PETS WELCOME! Please make sure your pet is up to date on shots (rabies, etc.), has some form of flea & tick medication, and has a microchip. There is a per pet / per stay fee to cover extra cleaning costs, etc. Maximum 3 pets and there’s no size or weight limit for dogs.
Local attractions: golf (Arcadia Bluffs 15 min away), beaches (10 min away), horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, restaurants, shopping, Amish store with homemade furniture. Please refer to Welcome Guide for more details, including Sauna and Jet Tub instructions.
*You may bring your own vehicles. We are not liable for any injuries or damages whatsoever and you will be asked to sign a waiver to that effect. Beautiful home, so comfortable & nicely decorated! Loved the special things like the massage chair & hot tub. Just too hot during our stay to use the sauna. The basic amenities like soaps, shampoos, towels were luxurious! This home is truly nestled in a large forest! Walking & birdwatching opportunities were great! The Host very helpful & nice to work with, when needed.

As described, kitchen utensils, bed linens and towels brand new, or like new. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck with friendly chickadees. Almost anything needed was available (I did add/leave some measuring spoons and additional measuring cups for baking). Lots of trails to hike, as we do not have ATVs. Perfect location for some planned day trips further North. Edie was quick to respond to questions and checked on us for needs. Our sweet pup did not make the trip, but we loved the decor showing multiple happy pups. We did not want to leave. We want to experience Edie's home during other Michigan seasons. The love put into creating a relaxing home was very evident. Highly recommend.I did not use the sauna- don't like heat; Hot tub was a bit cloudy, but we did not request a filter change/check. as only used a couple times. A great addition following my booking.

Our stay was exactly as we expected. The house was very secluded and private, everything that we needed to prepare our own meals was available. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly come back again.

Lovely property and dogs certainly welcome and happy but bed not comfortable upstairs, dishwasher didn’t function properly (and not repaired when requested), and home not nearly as clean as you hope with rental.We damaged an item and paid for that, appropriately. We accidentally took keys when left, returned them, and paid to ship her backup keys to home.Owner seemed disorganized and not efficient when challenges arose (e.g., no idea how to use keyless entry lock on her own property). Owner incessantly contacted us via text amid challenges but didn’t address dishwasher or cleanliness in any way.We loved property but communication with owner was challenging. We should have directly reported issues to VRBO when occurred (rather than owner via text); our mistake for sure and lesson learned. Otherwise, a very special property in a beautiful part of Michigan.
