Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun.
We planned our 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom St. Mary’s House with our Big Family in mind. Plenty of space for the kids and adults to gather together or find some quiet time for themselves. We love the fire pit out back and walking to Lake Michigan beaches (
Enjoy the Riverwalk, swim in the Big Lake, and cozy in for dinner. Lots of parking, so BYOB (bring your own boat)!
It was recently renovated with big families like ours in mind. It includes a first floor bathroom, laundry room, and 2 full baths. The kitchen includes a gas cooktop and electric stove, and all the small appliances (crock pot, air fryer, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. It also includes pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, serving utensils.
Your party can enjoy big family meals in the dining room, with a large table that seats 8, and additional seating at the counter. Or head outside to the deck and backyard that includes a large picnic table and additional seating. There are 2 grills--gas and charcoal--take your pick!
Best of all, the house is a 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan and 15 minute walk to Downtown Manistee. Enjoy the waves then head out for dinner, shopping, a movie at the historic Vogue, or a show at the amazing Ramsdell Theater.
The house is pet-friendly but is not completely fenced in yet. There are security gates on the deck that keep our fur family close by. The beaches allow dogs after Labor day, and there is a dog park close by at the 1st Avenue beach.

We really liked the house. It was convenient to everything we needed. We did have a problem with the tub but addressed it with the host. My daughter said we could have had more kitchen towels and wash rags. The first house we stayed she had a written list of check out items and instructions where things were. My daughter thought that might have been helpful. I texted the host a few times but did get timely answers. Overall, we enjoyed it so much if we went back to Manistee I would stay there again. House location was nice and easy accessible to shops/restaurants. We liked spending time at the backyard at the fire pit. Host was very friendly and responsive with all our queries.

Owner was very nice and cooperative with good communication… however, the unit could use updating, new mattresses for beds, better pots and pans selection. The AC units did not work when we arrived but the owner was very quick to communicate and get an HVAC person to get in and correct the issue.
