Stylish 2 Bedroom Stone House On Ocean Front In São Jorge, Azores (Belo Surf)

Luca was an excellent host! We so appreciated his timely responses and baked bread. He has a talent for hospitality. The view was amazing! I can’t imagine being any closer to the Atlantic Ocean. The walk to Faga do Santa Cristo and the sweet restaurant therein was delightful. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but it was easy to pile up the comforters from the bunk beds. This was a special place to celebrate life with my family. Obrigado!!!

We stayed for 3 nights. Truly an excellent experience. It is a 2 km journey into the resort - and they provide an ATV transport to get you in and out with luggage. Without luggage it is a 30 minute walk. Also within 2 km walking distance is the nearby town of Santo Cristo that has restaurant options. The resort is excellent and the staff are more than helpful. The views are perfect. It is also on one of the best hiking trail on the island (all trails: PR1 SJO Serra do topo - Caldeira) I highly recommend staying for a few nights.

This is a very special place and I would highly recommend it especially to nature lovers. The house is clean, so comfortable, and well laid out. Fun outdoor kitchen and hammock area. And the setting is incredible. Views of the verdant mountains and beautiful sea. My family and I loved the hike to the parking area. Not having a vehicle was a fun experience. We loved hearing the birds at night and seeing the stars. Plus the fresh bread delivered each morning. The hosts are wonderful, responsive, and helpful. This was my favorite stay on our trip to the Azores.

I would describe Belo Surf at the Kuanza Nature Experience as remote, comfortable, and beautiful. The stone cabins are brand new and have everything you need for a self-catered vacation. We loved the outdoor area with seating, a grill, and a sink! Fresh bread each morning, the pounding surf outside, the breathtaking views of Faja dos Santo Cristo, and the hillside of Sao Jorge made our stay exceptional. Dipping in the pool after the exhilarating walk from Faja dos Cubres into the property was a wonderful treat. Beto and the rest of the staff were welcoming, professional, and available for questions and help. If you want to experience the Fajas of Sao Jorge authentically, with access to several hiking trails and island highlights, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend.
