About this house rental
Enjoy the tranquility of the Andalusian countryside surrounded by olive groves and majestic and oak trees.
The property has a small agricultural activity - notably the olive harvest - and some animals (horses, chickens, guinea fowl, dogs, cats, etc.)
Several terraces with views of the surrounding countryside as well as the flower-filled patio are all ideal for al fresco dining or simply for relaxing under the shade of our pergola of eucalyptus branches.
The swimming pool (4m x 8m) is perfect for cooling off during the hot Andalusian afternoons.
The main living room is a huge 60m2 space with a cathedral style -ceiling and a beautiful fireplace. There is a large dinig table suitable for meals with family and friends, and a large lounge area furnished with sofas, armchairs and rocking chairs.
The kitchen is very well equipped - hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, dishwasher - for those who would like to prepare meals using local products. The wooden counter is the perfect place to have breakfast enjoying the morning sun with the view out onto the patio. There is a washing machine located in a seperate laundry room.
The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house is ideal for 8 people but has enough sleeping space to comfortably accommodate 10 people.
A short walk takes you to the village of Las Pinedas - a small hamlet with white houses typical of the Andalusian countryside. You will find a church, a grocery store and the village bar where you can have a drink or taste some local cuisine while the elders play their games of dominoes!
The city of Cordoba is a 20 minute drive away, a visit to the Mézquita of Cordoba (the largest mosque in the Western world, now a cathedral) is a must, as is the old town and the flowered patios.
Visiting other emblematic cities of Andalusia - Seville, Granada, Malaga, Ronda, Jaen - is possible in a day thanks to easy access to the A4 motorway. Seville airport is less than an hour by car, Córdoba train station 25 minutes.

We had a lovely week here. The accommodation was spacious and easily fitted six of us. The photos do not do the pool justice which was lovely. The house is remote. There is nothing in walking distance. You will need a car. Not much locally which was the only downside. We went to La Carlota for dinner on the Friday which was packed with locals but we managed to find somewhere and there was a good atmosphere. We returned on another night but it was empty. Cordoba is half an hours drive and we went several times. Well worth a visit for places of interest, dinner and shops. There is plenty of free parking. We also visited Granada and the Lobo Wolf Park on different days. The neighbour Lourdes was very helpful and it was easy to communicate. A few snags with the property (leaking sink etc) but it didn’t affect our stay. We loved meeting the small farm dogs who popped over most evenings! We spent a week here and added on four days in a hotel in Seville which was a good combination.

This place is amazing. The photos don't do it justice. The house is gorgeous. So spacious and beautiful. We stayed with our two sons but there is space for at least 8 people. The pool is lovely and perfect for the hot weather. It's refreshed by jets of water throughout the day. The kitchen is well equipped and I loved cooking Iberico pork on the BBQ with its medieval style winding handle. The location is so peaceful, Really great to unwind from your daily cares. We arrived at around 10pm and Lourdes was waiting to let us in and show us around. She was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Although it is very remote, it's close to the main highway that leads to Cordoba (30-40 mins) and Seville (1 - 1.5 hours). Cordoba is stunning, really cosy with nice tabernas with great food. La Carlota is 10 mins drive away and has two good supermarkets and several restaurants. We had a lovely meal in Restaurante Doña Enriqueta (confusingly has a big sign on the building saying La Diva) - really nice, friendly staff and a great view out the windows when the sun goes down.One shower is a normal enclosure. The other is a bath attachment. There is no screen so water inevitably goes on the floor. But there are plenty of mats and towels to deal with that.

Visiting Cordoba is ok to stay. Beds quite hard, bathrooms ok but shower arrangements poor. Internet very poor speed, area quite deserted but good supermarket in La Carlota. Swimming pool was useful but could do with a good clean.Kitchen was well equipped and new.
