Enclosed garden with garden furniture. 2 small dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. On road parking. No smoking.. Swallows Cottage is situated just outside Brixham and is a two-bedroom holiday home accommodating up to four guests. The open plan living space makes it easy to while away lazy evenings in style, and features such as the treasure chest coffee table and the spiral staircase in the living space give the cottage a contemporary feel. There is a bright, elegant quality to this space that makes it easy to unwind after a busy day exploring Brixham’s attractions, and whether you visit as a family or with friends, you’ll find the cottage makes a welcoming base to return to at the end of a day exploring. Outside, you’ll find a modest size garden complete with a table and chairs for four and a grassy area. When bedtime rolls around, you’ll find the master bedroom awaits and it’s a cosy space to retreat to at the end of a day.
You’ll find Swallows Cottage in Brixham’s peaceful Churston Ferrers, within an easy drive from Greenway, Agatha Christie’s former summer home on the River Dart, as well as the many attractions of Brixham and the rest of beautiful Torbay. Brixham is a lovely seaside town and is still one of the busiest, working fishing harbours in the area. The harbour is full of little fishing boats and trawlers, and some of the best fish and chips can be enjoyed here. The town offers all the usual tourist shops along with many restaurants and coffee shops, and has a regular bus service which will be able to take you into Goodrington, Paignton and Torquay without having to use your car.
There is so much here for all the family to enjoy, including the water park at Goodrington and Paignton Zoo. There are also many other quieter days out such as taking a steam train trip up to Buckfastleigh where you can visit the otter and butterfly sanctuary. A car and passenger ferry to Dartmouth can be taken from Kingswear, 1 mile away. Sailing, golf, fishing, horse riding and more can all be found in this wonderful part of Devon.

Lovely well equipped cottage, though slightly smaller downstairs than up. Great communication from property manager. The only small downside is there is some noise from the quite busy road at the end of the lane, with some cars filtering off down Churston lane, but it’s a pretty village and a lovely part of the country to be in. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautifully presented cottage with everything you could possbly want to make your stay comfortable. Two spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage space. Lovely kithen and bathroom. Close to many stunning coastal and forrest walks. Will definitely stay there again

Lovely cottage, beautiful coastal decor - loved that even the towels were folded in shape of little sailing boats! Really nicely done. Great views over the field next door.
Close to beaches, walks, and so many lovely places.
Kids loved the spiral staircase.
Only slight irritation was that WiFi didn't work - I'd still have gone knowing there's no WiFi, but would have prepared better with more DVD's for kids and downloading info and programs before we went.

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable and beautifully clean cottage. A real home from home in terms of decor. Downstairs space a little small and the outside seating was next to a fairly high brick wall behind which was the road.
Unfortunately the WiFi was intermittent, particularly when we tried to use it upstairs and we were unable to get a signal on the bedroom tv.
Overall a very nice place to stay.
