Cottage for 4 people

We enjoyed our stay in the house a lot.The house was very tidy and has a nice garden with shade. The kitchen is fully equipped (no spices etc though). The beds were comfortable. And of couse Gerard and Claudine are very nice hosts!

We loved our stay at Claudine and Gérard's gite. They meet us upon arrival and everything went very smoothly. Gérard showed us around the gorgeous apartment which looks brand new and has every kitchen utensil you could ever need. The air con is a real plus in bedrooms and lounge/kitchen area but the real treat is the large very clean gorgeous swimming pool. We had full use of this every day and the kids thoroughly enjoyed and loved the floats and toy balls that were also supplied. The location was great for rest and relaxation but we were glad we stayed nearer to Sarlat for a week beforehand as much better for all the Dordoyne activities/sights on offer. You could still reach all from here but longer driving times of 45/50mins. It was perfect for us as we wanted a chilled week and not do too much. Visiting Bergerac and Perigord was nice. We would 100% recommend this accomodation, also has a lovely little town 5 min drive away for local restaurant and bakery. Gérard and Claudine were very nice to deal with, thank you for a great stay!

The gite was situated in the grounds of Claudine and Gerard’s home. The scenery was beautiful all around. Extremely peaceful and the perfect ‘get away’ for a relaxing break. Suitable for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of work! Teenagers who may enjoy an active holiday may struggle at this location, but the beautiful and well maintained pool will provide hours of family fun. The gite was extremely well equipped, exactly as noted in the details on the website. Everything was new and spotlessly clean. Bedding and towels were provided at an additional cost and through liaison with Claudine. There was a cleaning cost of €60 at the end of our stay. Sainte-Foy-de-Longas has no real amenities but 5km away the little village Sainte Alvere has an Epicerie and delightful Patisserie & Boulangerie. We would definitely return! This accommodation was absolutely perfect for us. Set in beautiful French countryside with plenty of space and an amazing pool to relax beside. The gíte was fantastic, cleaned and furnished to a really high standard with everything we needed and more. There is a table tennis table in the cellar, which the children really enjoyed. Comfortable beds, great air conditioning and a very modern and perfectly equipped kitchen. The pool is lovely. Set slightly away from the gíte, it had a great wooden sun shelter which provided some shade and a very useful fridge, loungers and inflatables for using in the pool. The children particularly thought the pool was brilliant. It was kept immaculately clean during our stay. The whole place is great and we thank Claudine and Gérard for sharing such a lovely spot. They were available if needed, but allowed us our own space and privacy at all times. The location was ideal for exploring the local area. Restaurants in nearby village and easy access to the Dordogne. We’d love to return again one day, thank you! Stefan,Jo, Harry and Molly
