About this house rental
Located at the gateway to the "Golden Triangle" of the Dordogne Valley between Sarlat and Bergerac, Maison Marqueyssac welcomes you for an authentic holiday in the heart of nature. You will be staying in a charming and bright stone house, ideal for a small family with a maximum occupancy of 4 people. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this place and the magnificent view over the garden and the surrounding fields; while having breakfast in the veranda with opening windows on three sides, you are likely to see a deer or two and be able to watch the many birds singing high up in the poplars. In the evening, you have a front row seat to the magnificent spectacle of colour and light that nature offers us when the sun sets.
Enjoy a high quality holiday in absolute peace and quiet in an exceptional environment: Maison Marqueyssac is surrounded by 40 hectares of fields, forests and small woods. Access to the Domaine, which consists of three stone houses of character, totally independent with their equipped terraces and private gardens, as well as the main building, is via a private road 500 metres long; we are therefore far from the "outside world", from other people's cars and even from our closest neighbours. The size of the grounds allows all our guests to enjoy their holiday in the middle of a large landscaped park and by our large swimming pool. There are many hiking trails leading directly from the Domaine. On your walks you will probably come across pheasants, partridges, roe deer and rabbits.
Our establishment has not one, not two or three, but billions of stars! Without the pollution of the cities, we enjoy an incredible sky. We are sure that you will be as amazed as we are by this spectacle of Mother Nature which appears as soon as the sky is clear. What's more, our sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking!
The town of Lalinde with its supermarket, convenience stores and small local market is only 9 kilometres away. Most of the region's tourist attractions are within a 30 km radius of the Domaine.
Our site is set in 1.5 hectares of parkland with ancient trees, flowers in all seasons and a large swimming pool nestled in the ruins of an old barn. The pool is south facing, fenced and secure. The children will find their happiness in the small house filled with toys adjacent to the pool area. The park has many places to relax and leisure activities (deckchairs, hammocks, parasols, table tennis, badminton, petanque,...). Books and board games are available for everyone.
The Marqueyssac House comfortably accommodates up to 4 people.

Small fully equipped kitchen (oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, mixer, kitchen scales, coffee machine, crockery), a shower room with Italian shower and WC, a 10 m² bedroom with 1 bed 140x190 and a 9 m² bedroom with two beds 90x190.

Especially the way the owners made our stay a real feelgood experience was exceptionally, including filled fridge at arrival and shuttle to the train station. It is a real recommendation to stay here and enjoy the wonderful calm place and the beautiful surrounding.

Wer im Urlaub Ruhe, Geschichte und tolle Landschaften erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das alte Anwesen ist sehr weitläufig, unser Ferienhaus ist viel Geschmack aus einer Scheune entstanden.
Chris ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans ce domaine magnifique, tenu par des propriétaires accueillants, très gentils, disponibles, soucieux du moindre détail.
Notre location, le gîte Marqueyssac, était parfait, d'une propreté absolument impeccable. La décoration soignée, la vue exceptionnelle sur le jardin et la campagne alentour ont contribué à notre agrément.
Le domaine est vaste, très bien entretenu et a beaucoup de charme.
Tout est fait pour le bonheur des enfants de tous âges (jeux à disposition, table de ping-pong, grenouilles et tétards !).
Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour et remercions à nouveau Chris et Patrick pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse, ainsi que pour les conseils touristiques avisés !
