About this apartment rental
This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo on second floor on the more desirable side of Magia Beachside with elevators faces the turquoise Caribbean sea and has great views of the ocean and pools. It is one of the largest 2 bedroom units in Magia, and is on the preferred west side of building. Refurbished in 2016 with all new furnishings and conveniences. Large, private balcony off kitchen and living room faces the pools and Caribbean waters. Both bedrooms also have private balconies. Both balconies have new, comfortable lounge furniture.
Condo is 1400 sq feet with two large living rooms off the kitchen. One living room is set up with large couch, the other with 2 pull-out sofa beds. There is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom can be set up as a king-sized bed or 2 twins. Comfortably sleeps 6 people. Bedrooms are large and have wardrobes, seating, black out drapes, and floor to ceiling windows facing west.
The large kitchen with eating area is fully equipped with microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, glasses, utensils, etc. There is a marble table with chairs. Lots of natural light from wall of floor to ceiling windows facing east.
202B has marble floors and granite countertops, high ceilings, smart TV’s in living room and bedrooms, DVD player, international cable TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, safes in each bedroom, bottled water and more. One complimentary parking space in the underground garage is included. High end quality bedding, iron, ironing board. Bathrooms include towels, hair dryers, and magnified make-up mirrors. Zoned AC with controls and ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room.
On the acre plus common area, Magia Beach has 2 pools with a spacious outdoor area that includes a bar and fitness center, and open green space with lush tropical vegetation and chic seating areas.
Guests are welcome at ASI Beach Club, located at El Taj Ocean, complimentary fitness center, 24 hour front desk and security, concierge services, discounts at our restaurants and more. Please note that not all units in Magia offer the above amenities. We operate as a condo hotel with all the advantages of a condo and all the amenities of a hotel.
Magia is 1 block from world famous 5th Avenue, Playa del Carmen's main street. La Quinta, as it is also called, runs parallel to the shore and is a pedestrian walkway for almost 3 miles. The avenue is lined with an assortment of restaurants, shops, bars, making it one of the best nightlife spots in the Mexico. As Frommer’s says, "it seems as if everyone in town is out strolling along La Quinta until midnight." You’ll find everything from Mexican, French, and Italian restaurants (with Italian chefs), Starbucks, and Haagen Daz a Nike store, to souvenir shops.
Major supermarkets are a quick 5 block walk (take a cab back for a few pesos or dollars) that have everything you need to stock the condo.
Playa del Carmen is the major city in the Riviera Maya, a 120 km shore line with beautiful landscape and beaches. This area, stretching from Puerto Morelos through Carrillo Puerto (in the heart of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve) to Punta Allen, is full of attractions including snorkeling, Mayan ruins, underground rivers, cenotes and more. Playa del Secreto, Playa del Carmen, Xcaret, Puerto Aventuras, Aktun Chen grottoes, Xel-Ha and Tulum are some of the places where you can find Mayan ceremonial centers on the seashore, local biodiversity and a variety of water sports in the world's second largest coral reef. The condo was absolutely perfect! The unit itself is spacious with plenty of room to spread out, the views are gorgeous (nothing beats reading out on the balcony while the sun comes up), two serene and refreshing pools, and the location is unbeatable. It is close to everything Playa del Carmen has to offer - amazing food, dive shops, and 5th Avenue - but is still quiet and relaxing. And just a 2-minute walk to the beach club! The condo had all the essentials - kitchenware, laundry, etc. And our host, Laura, was helpful every step of the way.Can't wait to return!

We’ve stayed at this condo several times now, which probably says the most. It’s consistently comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Too many favorites to list! The location is ideal—easy beach access and a short walk to 5th Avenue for restaurants and shopping, yet still quiet enough to relax.The unit itself is thoughtfully equipped. The full kitchen and washer/dryer make stays especially easy, and the two pools are always clean and never overly crowded. We’ve always felt safe and comfortable here, which matters a great deal when traveling.The owner and property manager are professional and responsive without being intrusive. Everything has always been handled smoothly, and it’s clear they take pride in the property.We will definitely return again in the future.

Pros - A welcome note and hostess gifts of wine and tequila greeted us at the condo. The pictures used to advertise this property are accurate. The kitchen is FULLY equipped and has everything that someone who enjoys cooking would need. There is a water dispenser, so you really don't need to buy bottled water. There is also daily housekeeping. You can opt to have housekeeping clean daily, change out your towels, or not clean at all. The beds are very comfortable. There is a large balcony with comfy seating off of the kitchen that overlooks the pool. There are actually two large living areas in the condo that you will notice as soon as you enter the condo. One area has a sectional with a television. The other living room area has two dark blue couches that sit opposite of each other. There is an apartment size washing machine and dryer. Beach towels and pool towels are provided. The unit has AC. It is close to 5th Avenue. Now for the cons. We were told in advance that we had to check-in at another location, but it was still inconvenient. When we arrived I was given the front desk's WhatsApp number so that I could communicate any needs or concerns that I had, but the front desk did not always answer when I called or text. We were given a bag of white towels/told to only use white towels at the pool. We were also given beach towels w/ brown stripes & told to use them at the beach. My adult son mistakenly took a brown stripe beach towel to the pool and was reprimanded by security, asked to leave, and return with a white towel. While I am on the issue of towels, we were a party of 5 and throughout our visit when towels were refreshed, housekeeping would only provide us with 4 sets of towels. For additional towels, we had to call the front desk that was located in another condo (Porto Playa). We NEVER visited the beach in Playa del Carmen, because of the seaweed. It stunk like crazy and the water was murky, not turquoise as I expected -not the owner's fault, but definitely VERY disappointing as it was our first visit to Mexico ever. As first time visitors, it would have been courteous to be informed that the beach would not be enjoyable. Informed by Lauren a couple days before our arrival. We chose Playa del Carmen for the beach, not the pool. Too much Noise from partygoers made it hard to sleep at night and workers working on another condo in the building awaken us in the morning. The elevator broke our last three days.
