The Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh) House is a tiny taste of Scandinavia in Southeastern Minnesota.
What is Hygge? In short, it's a Scandinavian way of living that focuses on hunkering down and creating a safe, comforting and warm place to while away.
My husband and I hand built the Hygge House with your comfort in mind. We love being cozy and having space to spend together so when the opportunity arose to renovate our studio, we wanted to share it!

The Hygee House was exceptionally clean and well stocked and was the perfect home base for us. The quiet country setting was peaceful and we especially appreciated the local coffee packet to brew. This place had a great vibe for our mini vacation.

The place is cute and was clean upon our arrival. Location is ok, not far from Mayo Clinic. The mattresses could be comfier, but other than that, communication with host was easy, instructions clear, and the place is cute and clean.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place where we could escape city stress and noise with our pup and meet up with our son. Hygge House is in a peaceful area but still just an easy 10 minute drive from Rochester. It had a nice enclosed patio and little yard for our pup, and it had a kitchen that was well supplied (loved the old range/oven!) so we could fix our own meals when we preferred. Host was easy to work with and check-in/out was a breeze. Highly recommended!

The Hygee House was warm and inviting as well as very
clean. The beds were comfortable and everything you
may need is accessible. I would definitely stay here
again.
