This home is located in the quiet beach side neighborhood of Golondrinas inside the gated community of Hacienda Pinilla. Just 3 minutes walk to the beach.
The Space:
Beautiful villa with spacious interiors washed in natural light.
5 bedrooms and is set up for 15 guests. The 5th bedroom does not have a private ensuite bathroom, it must use the shared bathroom in the main house.

SURFING
Hacienda Pinilla has to be one of the best locations in Costa Rica to base your surf trip. With 6 waves just on Playa Avellanas and private access to the beach breaks of playa Langosta you don't even need to leave the ranch, but if you looking to explore the area, the famous Playa Negra reef breaks are just 10 minutes south and the river mouth and beach breaks of Tamarindo just 10 minutes to the north.
Getting Around:
Renting a vehicle to get around the neighborhood is highly recommended. The home has a covered carport.

Our layout is spread over 2 floors and allows multiple families to all have space and privacy within one home. The distribution is as such,

- Second bedroom, 1x Queen (upstairs)
- Third bedroom, 3 Single beds, and a trundle twin bed (2 twins together making a full/queen size bed) (upstairs)
- Fourth bedroom, 2 twins together making a king-size (downstairs)
-Fifth bedroom (Detached bedroom), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen bed bunk, and an Office desk.

We had such an incredible stay here and couldn’t recommend it more. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The house was absolutely spotless and clearly very well maintained. It truly felt like every detail had been thought through—there wasn’t a single thing we needed that wasn’t already there.
The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, cookware, cups, bowls, and everything else you’d expect (and more), which made it really easy to settle in and feel at home. Beyond the basics, the amenities were amazing—e-bikes for exploring, plenty of games to keep everyone entertained, and standout features like the sauna and cold plunge that made the stay feel like a luxury wellness retreat.
The outdoor space was just as impressive. The pool was beautiful and perfect for relaxing, and the soccer field was such a fun bonus—especially for the kids, who spent hours out there playing. It’s not often you find a place that balances relaxation and activity so well for all ages.
The beds were extremely comfortable, and we all slept great every night. On top of everything, the staff was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference.
One thing we really appreciated was how safe and secure the property felt. It gave us complete peace of mind the entire time.
Overall, this place checks every box—clean, well-equipped, fun, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

We had a lovely stay with 12 of us over spring break. The communication from the host was excellent throughout the process! The house was very pretty. We loved the pool. We took advantage of the local chefs (Garrett and Gaston both fantastic!!) and enjoyed the house. We went to local beaches, Lola’s, Il Rustico and KonTiki pizza as well. The beds and pillows were a bit too firm for many guests…only issue we heard of. Close the doors always…we found a scorpion or two while there. Oh…the monkeys are amazing!! Right in the trees on property. Thank you again!

This was a beautiful, well equipped & clean home that made for a comfortable and enjoyable spring break stay for two families with 5 kids. We had more than enough room to call home. The pool is a wonderful size with very functional patio for lounging in the sun or taking a break from the heat of the day. The kids loved having the soccer field to release energy. The e-bikes and ping pong table were a great addition. It came equipped with beach chairs and coolers though we didn’t use them. We rented two golf carts for our visit and would highly recommend doing so as the hacienda Pinilla beach club clubhouse is a 7 minute drive away. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and the beds and pillows were top notch - very comfortable accommodations. We hired Chef Gaston for a BBQ meal in the home. Wonderful - highly recommend! We had tons of leftovers so do it early in your stay. Housekeeper was kind and did a wonderful job in the home every day from 9-12. We also had massages in the home and they did a wonderful job. The highlight of our time was enjoying the backyard and watching a family of monkeys swing by in the trees. You really feel like you are in Costa Rica. No beach view from home but a short walk to one access point for sunsets which is different than the Clubhouse. Highly recommend this property.
