Out of the Ordinary, Classic ocean view penthouse - Family and pet friendly

So fun! Beautiful and unique apartment with friendly neighbors and a spider monkey who showed up on our balcony the first day to shake our hands! Walking distance to beach and Avenida Cinco for shopping and eats. Would return!

Lovely place, close to 5th Avenue, but far enough away from the buzz. Walkable to the beach as well. Very clean throughout the property and helpful property manager, who had a wealth of knowledge of the area. This was my first experience of Mexico and Playa del Carmen and I will be returning again to the same property.

Great location, very close to beach and shopping, walking distance to local supermarket. The kitchen is well equiped, the apartment is very clean. The only negatives I would have to mention are the very low waterpressure in the showers (both indoor and outdoor shower) and not having a comfortable seating arrangement in the living room. A nice lounging sofa would have been better than the wooden bench in the living room. The owner of the property lives close by and is readily available for any questions you may have. Overall, we enjoyed our week long stay at the Barbados suite very much and would definetely return for another vacation.

My husband and me spent 3 fantastic weeks in the wonderful, tastefully designed Plantation House. Each room was superbly and individually decorated by the owners Joe and Francoise who were both always attainable and answered our every question. The 2 bedroom apartment we rented was a dream, and my husband and me upon our departure agreed we could have very easily stayed another 3 weeks. The lovely Plantation House is ideally situated in Playa del Carmen's heartbeat of activity and night life, 5th avenue. It is also just a block away from the beautiful blue beach. Even though very close to the action, it was incredibly quiet and private. A very relaxing getaway. Our apartment was just what we wanted, and much more. We had a lovely deck where we would watch the sunset with a glass of wine. There is housekeeping, and also a cool plunge pool which we would soak in after a long day at the beach.! Highly highly recommended, and I can't wait to go back again."
