We LOVED our stay at Alba Cave Villa I. We stayed as a family of four in early July. This was our second visit to Crete and to the Falassarna area, but our first stay at this villa. The villa is masterfully designed with lots of natural light. It feels spacious, the beds are comfortable, and we liked that the villa is all on one level. To be aware of: One room is completely separate from the rest of the villa with its own access and lock. Our 18-year-old daughter loved having her own space, but the set-up could be challenging for families with young children. The villa is super-clean and well-equipped. We loved the pool, the landscaped grounds, and the sunsets here are the best!!A warning that the road leading up to the villa lane is very rough and rocky with potholes. The location of the villa is otherwise perfect with Falassarna beach only a couple of minutes by car, so many great restaurants within a few minutes’ drive, and Chania within an hour drive. Balos lagoon is a 30-minute boat ride away.Etouri the management company was professional with great communication and many suggestions shared. Our villa host, Manos, was so kind, polite, and responsive, and we felt his genuine desire to make sure we enjoyed our stay. He was always respectful of our privacy and would check with us beforehand if we were okay with him coming by to drop something off. We really, really loved our stay at this villa and with this host and hope to return soon. Definitely 10/10!
