This is a wonderful place to stay with a large family everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The long veranda overlooking the beautiful pool was where we ate and read and relaxed. we loved being in the pool after it was shaded in later afternoon. The large dining table was perfect for evening meals and games The kitchen was very well equipped and easy for us to prepare meals and clean up without bumping into each other The bathroom towels were good quality as were the pool towels, which we didn’t find in the lower unmarked cabinet until we left. It is a beautiful place and couldn’t have been more perfect for my family

Five ladies in my family enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is ideal to easily drive to local wineries. The swimming pool was clean and so relaxing. We could easily cook together in the kitchen, which is well-stocked with quality dishes, pots and pans, and plenty of glasses. It was very nice that each of the five bedrooms has its own bathroom. I would recommend this place!

This is a destination house in the heart and some fine wine country. What a fun house with interesting history. We hosted a celebration of life, a 50 wedding anniversary and 73 birthday. We had 13 staying at the house with two coming for the days. It was so comfortable space wise. The beds were so comfortable. Kitchen was great. The owner and caretaker easy to work with. We had so much fun in the pool and hot tub. The BBQ area was also a hit. Would recommend 109%

Great: pool area and separate pool bathroom, ensuite bedrooms, huge dining room table, double dishwashers, strong AC to keep such a huge house cool, large fridge and freezer, well equipped kitchen, dog friendly for our pup literally with a friendly neighbor dog Manson. Not so great: lack of a place for all to chill inside together (three separate living spaces for 2-4 people max but not one large space for all to gather besides dining table), dirty patio and patio furniture (couldn't eat at the outside table covered in dirt and cobwebs, lounge chairs by pool were the only clean enough seating to use), outside in general felt neglected. A manager/caretaker lives on the property. Wineries and cute downtown areas to explore nearby but with such a great pool/jacuzzi/mansion to call home for a long weekend, we rarely left. Thanks for a great stay.

Great getaway and pool. We spent most of our time just relaxing. Plenty of spacious rooms, beds and extra fold out beds. Quiet comfortable AC. Large secluded property only 1 hour from Sacramento. Beautiful wine Country. A bonus was Manson, a friendly neighborhood dog that just wanted to sit on the steps near the pool and be petted!

Exceptional stay for our family vacation. This special house is on a magical property that you never have to leave but if you do venture out, it’s so close to some great wineries. Lots of space, very clean, fully stocked kitchen, and amazing owner who is wonderful! We can’t wait to return!

This amazing home was ideal for our group of five families celebrating a 50th birthday. There was something for everyone. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The adults also went wine tasting to some of the many, many nearby wineries. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with anything we needed including kitchen supplies, games, and pool towels. Beds were very comfortable including the four extra single beds which were easy to set up. Communicating with the owner was no problem. Easy drive from the East Bay Area and we definitely hope to go back again to this property and continue to explore the wine region!

We stayed in this beautiful home with our adult/married kids plus our grandson for an extended weekend. The house is so perfectly suited for a large family group like we had. Lots of space for everyone, with privacy, but room for everyone to be together. The pool was a huge hit for everyone and we used it every single day. The kitchen is well appointed and having the huge refrigerator was super helpful.The host, Matthew, was so kind and helpful and quick to respond. We had such a wonderful time and hope to return again for another family gathering!

Really fun place to stay. Close to some beautiful vineyards and really private, serene atmosphere. The only thing we would wish for is for the outdoor patio furniture to be cleaned of cobwebs, bird droppings and cat urine so we could enjoy it more.

Large House with many bedrooms plus additional twin mattresses in closets. Well-equipped kitchen. Host was very accommodating. You can even get your cat fix as there are four barn cats walking around the property. One is especially friendly and kept getting in our car. All of them kept trying to get into the house so be careful when you go in and out of doors.

Right in the middle of Amador wine country with lots of Vineyards within a couple of miles. A great place for family get togethers. Where else will you find 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms at this price. An isolated spot and very quiet, bring all your food with you, no real supermarkets close by. Great pool and hot tub. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and easy to cook for 10 or so people. In addition to the six bedrooms there are at least three other beds that can be used that were kept inside closets. Nice gravel to walk around the property. Overall it lived up to its promise. We most probably will use it again.

The house accommodated all 16 of us adults, with spacious bedrooms and plenty of nooks to set up the portable twin beds (real beds, not cots, which were so nice)! The house could use some updating but it definitely served its purpose and was well equipped with just about everything we could think of. Thank you for the partial refund due to the jacuzzi not heating up and the sauna not working.

The property is beautiful. A lot of oak trees and even had ripe grapes. We happened to book this house the same weekend that Placerville has their,”Girls Night Out.” They closed off Main St., had a band playing and a lot of sales. So that was nice. The house itself is very roomie, had enough room for all 14 of us. The pool and hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen had enough room for several of us to work at the same time. There were a couple of mattresses in the closets, which came in handy since 2 more came. I would rent this house again, we were so pleased.

We had 20 friends and family aging from 6 to 75 join together to celebrate my 70th and my besties 75th birthday. We do this every five years. Fork and Cork catered a sit-down 4 course dinner at Hidden Garden for us and it was amazing food and excellent service. We did some wine tasting, sat in the hot tub, walked the trails on the 8 acre property and played games. And our dogs had a great weekend!

We rented this house for my daughter’s 50th Birthday. We are very familiar with the area, and love the wineries that are so close. The house was perfect, with the nice bedrooms, most that included an attached bathroom. The house will be a conversation piece for many years. It is not the ordinary house, and we loved the spaciousness of it, and everyone had their own space! We made use of the beautiful pool, and hot tub..which was a nice bonus! Matthew is a great host, and was very responsive to our needs. All and all a perfect weekend in Amador!

We had a great time at this home. The pool was the big attraction that all four generations enjoyed multiple times each day. The kitchen is spacious and the dining tables are arranged so we could all eat in the same room. There are several nook areas to sit and read in. We had a very relaxing trip.

The hidden garden accommodated our large family and was comfortable. There are specific items that need attention. 1. Safety - both the front entrance and side by the kitchen have an uneven tile ledge that we tripped on constantly, one person fell to the floor! 2 - disrepair, house needs work like roof stain where leaking and kitchen cabinets taped off, & much more. 3- outside area very dirty with weeds, dirty furniture and floor, pool umbrella falling apart. These items were unacceptable for our family. We had to clean up a lot outside to use it.

Our family group of 12 had a wonderful time! The beds were comfy and the A/C kept the house cool. The kitchen was well-stocked. We all LOVED spending afternoons in the pool. Communication with Matthew was prompt and easy. 5 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms which is great! Guests in one of the upstairs queen bedrooms have to go downstairs to use the half bath during the night or have to enter the other upstairs queen bedroom to use their en-suite bathroom. Good info to know especially for couples traveling together. The property is very large and private and we enjoyed strolling around under the canopy of trees.

This place was a great place to hang with friends. Spacious accommodations and well appointed kitchen. The rain tried to dampen our good time but after being wet and cold coming home to a comfortable sit by the fireplace was ideal. Thank you so much to the owner for letting us in early to set up for our group! We can’t wait to do it all again next year sans rain!
