STEP BACK IN TIME in our charming 1950's "grandma's cottage", a LIVING MUSEUM of a simpler era, before tvs, microwaves and computers. No WiFi, so UNPLUG and ENJOY the vintage memorabilia and cosy fire.
WALK the beautiful Hari Hari Coastal Walkway or TAKE A DAY TRIP - 50 mins south to Glaciers, 50 mins north to Hokitika. EXPLORE natural HOT-SPRINGS within a short drive and walk or SOAK and STARGAZE in the cottage garden FIRE-BATH with stunning farm/bush/mountain views.
Lots of classic books, board games, puzzles, and vintage dress-ups for fun on those wet West Coast days.
Kid-friendly - cot, highchair, toys, swings and bikes.
An authentic cottage with old-fashioned quirks, such as woolen carpets and a bathroom just outside, through the laundry.

Awesome place to be. The kids and I felt right at home. Kids loved the outside area with the swing and outdoor tub. They counted over 120 teapots n and around the house.The host, Kath is warm and friendly and gave an excellent tour of their property. The place was very clean. I found everything I needed in the kitchen. It's a wonderful spot, I how we can make it back someone soon.

Amazing experience- the firebath was a unique and wonderful experience, and the turntable with old LPs provided much merriment. An unforgettable stay!

Like going back in time in the BEST way! Loved all the vinyl records and record player! The hosts were the BEST! And their dog, Mello, gave me my dog fix while I was missing my own.

The bathroom access was from outside the house and due to mosquitoes and other insects, it was tough to use the bathroom. It would have been easier if the bathroom access was from inside the house. Even though we closed all windows after getting in the house, the mosquitoes made their way in every time someone went to use the bathroom.
