About this house rental

Lake location like nothing before-within walking distance to the boat dock and sandy beach. This Bungalow has the charm of Texas. One room house turned into a rustic master piece. Leave the hustle and bustle, bring your food and enjoy beautiful Lake Texoma. Towels, linens, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. There is a Charcoal grill and fire pit for cooking hot dogs or steaks! This is Glamping at its best. Cozy into the built-in Queen bunk beds or relax in the living area and watch a movie on the flat screen. It swivels 90 degrees so you can watch in the bunkbeds too! Living area has couch and love seat with additional chairs. Dinning area has a table and chairs. Have privacy in the changing area next to the bathroom. No matter what your interests might be, we're sure you will find something for everyone during your stay in Lake Texoma.We are only one hour from Dallas, Texas and makes us a great weekend getaway!

There was another booking for this property for the night that I was supposed to be there. The manger contacted me and offered me another property that was clean, comfy, and meet all of the expectations lined out. I was slightly disappointed, but there was no change in amenities, and the new location was actually closer to where i needed to be so it worked out better for me.

The pictures and descriptions are a bit deceptive and outdated. There is no kitchen in the Bungalow- just an outdoor sink and grills that were dirty. There were ants all along the exterior of the house which found their way to my car and a sucker my daughter left in the door. She screamed going home afraid of ants. The toilet and sink inside were stopped up. The main light didn’t work on the fan even after a handyman came to repair it. Dishes were dirty when we arrived and there was even ketchup on the ceiling? The beach had glass shards, I left some in a bowl on the sink in the bathroom from a path I made for the kids to walk through. I appreciate the rustic charm they were going for and can see what it once was, but it is definitely needing some tlc now.

Upon our arrival, my friend & I noticed that the area had been uncleaned; there was dirty laundry, trash left in the bins, & pizzas left in the refrigerator. I did not feel comfortable sleeping on the bottom bunk due to the laundry. The top bunk, however, seemed clean, & after replacing the sheets, my friend slept on the top bunk. I took fresh sheets & slept on the couch. I contacted the Host about these issues via Vrbo's message feature. While I didn't get a reply until the next day, the Host, Lauren, was very accommodating & understanding. It is to my knowledge that a Maid Cleaning service is outsourced to this location, & that it isn't personally cleaned by Lauren. She told me that the status was completely unacceptable, & that she would immediately contact the maid service. She even offered my friend & me a free night's stay, we however, needed to leave, so this offer wasn't taken up. HOWEVER, considering that those issues weren't directly the host's fault, I am certain that if the property were properly tended to by the Maid Service, it would have been an amazing experience! The size of the Bungalow is quaint, with a large TV & selection of movies; & It's only a short drive to the nearby beaches & boat docks. AC worked VERY well (important for Texas summers, of course!), & overall was a decent stay. The hot-tub wasn't hot, but it a comfortable warm temp. 2.6/5 stay, but I know it could be a 5/5 if not for the unfortunate with the 3rd party cleaning service error.♥

My husband and I stayed here for our 3rd anniversary and had a nice, relaxing weekend! Our favorite part is that it was within walking distance of the lake! The private beach was very nice! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get away from the city and just enjoy some down time!

Place was excellent for a family. Perhaps a couple there is a jacuzzi. Not far from the lake at all, with really nice neighbors, JB showed us the private beach.

My girlfriend and I loved staying here! We went for a fishing trip and we absoutely loved it. She went on and on about how cute the house was. We grilled fish that we caught and then watched movies together. We loved the TV that we could rotate so we could watch on the bed or couches. There were clean dishes, pots and pans, clean bedding, multiple clean towels, napkins, etc! Everything was wonderful. Thank you!

For the price, this property was spot on. However I was shocked for a place that sleeps FOUR only had ONE towel; in our case, three guys all had to share the same towel after showers (but oddly there were over a dozen washcloths). We could never figure out how to work the TV either. It had everything we needed otherwise, we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and grill.

Good two vehicle parking. Exterior nice Texas rustic, with chairs for outdoor sitting and a table with ashtray (filled with rainwater & the ends of two cigarettes floating...) a step up deck containing a barbecue grill, bar/sink-water was cutoff, and a hot tub (we did not use because when I lifted the cover sand had settled to the bottom of seating and didn’t appear sanitary). Inside was furnished well. My biggest complaint is the kitchen area — there is no sink, and the table needs to be repaired so you can open the sides for food preparation, and one curtain holder is laying on the floor. Do these minor repairs and add more attention to sanitizing everything is needed.
