About this cabin rental
3500 square ft. Abe Lincoln log cabin adjoining Shawnee National Forrest. Sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. Property has an 18x32 in ground pool (open from late May until Mid October weather permitting and it is not heated) and 6 person hot tub with a large deck for relaxation or entertaining. There is also a 4 Acre lake located just down a pathway from the cabin that is stocked with (Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, Standard and Red Ear Bluegill, & Catfish). We just ask that you catch and release so that other guest may enjoy as well. Centrally located just 18 miles from Paducah, Golconda, or Metropolis. Lots of wildlife abound here. You will have 4 private bedrooms, 2 master suites one at each end of the house one master has a queen bed and your other suite has a king bed, the third and fourth bedroom have queen beds as well. A large eat in kitchen, Billiard room, 3 private bathrooms. There are many extras. This is a must see property. There is a 2 night minimum on rental and we do charge for each additional guest over 2 (25.00 per night) .

The house is perfect for a secluded getaway. Our group had a great time. We spent most of our time outside in the pool and hot tub. The host, Jessica, made communication easy also.

This stay was everything that our group needed. The weather was perfect, which made the pool absolute perfection. We were in it every day. A couple of us made it down to the pond in the evenings to fish. We reeled in some including a big large mouth bass! The hosts made sure to get us some firewood for a nice bonfire one night. Never made it to the hot tub, but didn't need to because the pool was still warm enough for night swims. Our group typically doesn't repeat an annual trip, but this place is a definite repeat! Loved it!

Was a wonderful stay and relaxing getaway. Property was in excellent shape and we all had an amazing time. Will definitely be book again. Perfectly secluded and perfect for our small getaway.

Low water pressure - made showers weak, dishwasher weak - Note in House Rules about the well should be replaced with a new well pump. Water pressure makes master bath deluxe showers disappointing at best.Hot Tub was empty - "Prior guests made a mess - we are not filling until fall" - Perhaps the water issue is the cause? I own a hot tub and manage to keep it clean.Grill was absolutely filthy - I had to clean it before I would consider putting any food on it.Floor was damaged and dangerously uplifted - Has been this way since our visit last year. No effort to fix it or even put up a warning that you have a severe tripping hazard.Cabin sleeps 8 - Pool has 2 piece of furniture other than bar stools. Gutters overflow and create water falls on front and rear porches - nice to watch unless you wanted to sit outside. One of the waterfalls is where the floor is damaged. Brown tarp nailed over exterior to shed water. No trash cans outside to accept trash. No liners kitchen trash can or trash can near grill. Makes keeping things clean a challenge. We have been coming here for years - new owners are doing no real maintenance or improvements.
