The Old Homeplace was originally developed by my Grandfather Jordan Vilas Cook and has Blue Ridge Mountain Tradition going back 100 years. Working in the timber industry while raising 12 children including my Mother. The farm has always been called the Old Homeplace. I purchased the property in 2003 and soon afterwards old farmhouse had a fire damaging the roof and structure badly. The decision was made to dismantle the house and utilize all of its materials (Wormy Chestnut - Hemlock, Cedar and Stone) to build a new home. My current home is a combination of Modern & Country Traditional.
