About this house rental
Relax with the whole crew in this duplex. We offer three queen beds. The bedrooms are all right in a row with the middle bedroom connecting the two outside rooms which makes this perfect for families who want to be close but also have living space. This is an older home, so it won’t be brand new. However, it’s very functional! Located near the center of Hastings, not only is this space a short drive from most places in town, but it's also only about a 35 minute drive from Grand Island!
This is an older duplex that we've been working hard to fix up. It shares a driveway with our other popular Airbnb that can be booked together. This is unit #2.
We haven't been able to clean up the yard just quite yet, and I’ll be honest our curb appeal is not where it needs to be. It’s freshly painted, but it needs some new siding pieces and landscape/driveway/yard. That shouldn’t affect your stay at all, but we want you to be aware when you pull up!
The space is unique; all three bedrooms are right in a row and the middle bedroom is the access to the other two bedrooms. There is not a door to the middle bedroom, and it's an open hallway from the kitchen.

From the pictures, the house appeared older but clean, which I was fine with. However, when I arrived, the experience was quite different. The first sign was when I used a washcloth and noticed makeup stains still on it.The final straw was when I took a shower and grabbed a towel, only to find it was dirty. My adult child staying with me also mentioned the sheets looked stained, and when I checked, I was honestly horrified. At that point, I contacted management.On top of that, the house has some serious maintenance issues: the paint is chipping off the cabinets from a poor paint job, the flooring is buckling, and the lighting throughout the home is extremely dim—even with all the lights on, it felt dark at night. The windows were broken. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the management was responsiveUnfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again unless there are significant improvements in both cleanliness and upkeep.
