Approximately a mile from the water, Shelby Chateau is a beautiful, three-bedroom, two-bathroom property near the white sands and stunning sunsets of Ocean Springs beaches, and only one block from the heart of the historic downtown Ocean Springs shopping/restaurant district.
Shelby Chateau is the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway or week-long vacations with the family.
Loaded with amenities, you will find a clean, artistically decorated space with all the conveniences of home.
Shelby Chateau features a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances including an oven/stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, blender, Keurig coffee maker, and all the utensils you will need for preparing meals on days you want to stay in the comforts of home, rather than eating out at the numerous Ocean Springs hot-spots.
The living room provides a comfortable place to lounge in front of the large flat-screen SmartTV, and there is a dedicated workspace for those needing to work during their stay. The neon sign on the wall with vintage phone and furniture makes a great backdrop for taking memorable pictures.
In the Primary Bedroom, there is a King-size bed and a Smart TV for streaming, and the two guest bedrooms (one Queen bed & one Double) have Smart TVs as well.
There are two bathrooms, one with a combination shower/tub and the other has a large soaking tub.
The entire property is equipped with high-speed wireless Internet, plugs & charging stations for devices, and there is a new washer and dryer for guest use.
The enclosed front sun porch provides a space to relax, and there is covered space with seating out back in the fully enclosed fenced-in yard.

This is an adorable VRBO. Beds were comfortable. It was very clean, well stocked, and had a great yard. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.

Location, location, location. House was just as described. 5 min walk to main intersection in downtown Ocean Springs. Will definitely try to book this place again.

The house was great. It’s just as pictured. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was wonderful. Just a few seconds and you can either be downtown or on the highway for a day of adventure. The fenced yard is really great for your pups. Overall, a really great place.

The house is a great location to be able to walk to downtown, it was stocked with everything we needed in the bathroom and kitchen except we could not find more toilet paper. It is very nice inside and was very comfortable with one major exception. It is advertised as 2 bathrooms, one a tub and walk in shower as well as a tub shower combo. There is NO walk in shower which was one of our requirements as two of our group cannot safely or without significant pain, access a step over shower. The deep tub is very nice for the right people, but because the water is so soft it is VERY slippery and desperately needs a safety rail and the stopper did not work, we had to put a bowl upside down to hold water in. The front porch is a nice area but the exterior of all the windows in the house are filthy and all of the bushes need trimming. You don’t have much of a view with weedy vines entangled in the bushes. Saturday night there was a termite crawling down the curtain in the master and one on the bathroom floor. In the middle of the night I woke up to a bug crawling on me. It was not a termite but I smashed it before I got into the light, not sure what it was. Not being able to text with the property manger lead to some problems with communication because of a glitch with my VRBO account. I received all the information except the door code which the site would not give me access to and I had to call the help line.
