Ideally situated 1 block to the beach & less than 5 blocks to the shopping/restaurant district, Oak Shade is a meticulously maintained property within easy walking distance to historic downtown Ocean Springs, as well as beautiful Front Beach. Newly renovated, The Main Suite is the perfect place for romantic getaways, as well as week-long family vacations. It features a king-size bed in one bedroom, a queen in the other, a couch that sleeps two, and many other amenities you are sure to love.
Inside Oak Shade's The Main Suite, you will find a firm, yet comfortable king-size bed with luxurious bedding inside a private bedroom with a Flatscreen Smart TV with Roku, a second private bedroom with a queen-size bed and flatscreen TV, a full kitchen, a spacious living room, and a library/den full of natural light and a fabulous library of books for your enjoyment. The couch in this room converts to two twin-size mattresses for additional sleeping accommodations.
The bath includes a deluxe standing shower, and plush bathrobes are provided.
The Main Suite's living room features comfortable seating situated around a large flat-screen Smart TV with YouTube TV and Roku.
Other features of the freshly renovated space decorated in soothing shades of white, gold, and grey, has key-less electronic keypad entry to the suite, designated off-street parking for up to three vehicles, refrigerator, microwave, oven/stove, dishwasher, glassware, flatware, plates/bowls, mugs, and a coffee maker.
***Pets are allowed for a $150 non-refundable pet fee. Please select that you will be bringing a pet when making the reservation or we will need to send an additional payment request after booking***
***There should be no more than six people on the property unless prior permission is given. No events or parties of any kind. We have installed exterior security cameras for the safety of both guests and property outside of the home. There are no inside cameras.***

Oak shade is the sweetest vacation rental we have ever stayed. The house was immaculate and everything so convenient. Charm plus with decor! Location close to downtown and the beach was perfect for our visit to Cruisin the Coast week. Would definitely come back!

This property is a cute little house in an amazing location in town. Our group was able to walk to the beach and walk to downtown which was exactly what we wanted. I cannot say enough good things about the location and our overall experience in Ocean Springs. We ate some amazing food while down there.
My review goes south when it came to cleanliness and communication with the management of the property. Upon check in, we noticed a very odd smell that was hard to mask. We thought maybe it would be better after dinner, but came home to it being just as bad. We went to Walmart and bought spray and plug ins. I contacted the management to let them know that something might be wrong. We could not all agree if it was a dead animal, sewage, or something else. The smell was the worse in the living room. Management told me that they couldn't have anyone out right then and that the cleaning crew didn't say anything about a smell. They also offered to refund my second night if I wanted to check out. That wasn't what I wanted at all. I was concerned that something was wrong at their house. We just stayed out of the house as much as possible all weekend except to sleep so stay away from the smell. The management team told they had never had this problem before. I was in no way trying to get out of paying or my stay, but was made via message to feel that way. I am sure people do that with stays, but we are not that group.
