Welcome to the Owls Nest – a modern retreat in a beautiful secluded area in the Marlboro Mountains. Enjoy waking up to the natural light, open floor plan, and updated amenities. The home is perfect for those seeking a refuge from busy life and who want to be in a private place to relax and unwind. The architect-designed Owls Nest balances a minimalist aesthetic with elements of rustic comfort and is ideal for a peaceful WFH space.

4 SEASONS SUNROOM:
Grab your favorite book and get cozy on the porch with sunlight shining through the ceiling and relaxing views of the wooded backyard.
(We are working on getting this room fully insulated, so it may be chilly in the winter months.)
LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM:
Roku TV where you can enter credentials to stream your favorite shows
Anker bluetooth stereo to connect to
OUTDOORS:
- Propane grill stocked with propane and grill tools for you to use!
- A firepit is on the property. There is one chair at the firepit but there are folding chairs available to bring out to the pit. Firewood is not included.

One dog is allowed per reservation with a fee of $50 per animal/per night, unless otherwise approved by the host (please send us a message). Sorry, we do not allow cats. You can rest easy knowing your stay is covered with $1,500 in “All-Risk” Damage Protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via a security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by the guest. Both are cumbersome and often have big limitations in protection.
With “all-risk” protection, all accidental damage from a guest is covered unless specifically excluded such as, but not limited to, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage.

- Routinely scheduled maintenance by Home Sweet Hudson team members or lawn care/snow plowing may happen during your stay. This also includes garbage pick up, linen pickup, hot tub service, and pool cleanings.
- Parking shall be allowed solely in the designated parking spaces
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
- Weapons are strictly prohibited
- Please adhere to safety instructions for fireplaces, firepits, etc.
- Due to the risk of fire, please do not charge your electric car on the property.
- We do not allow parties or extra guests outside the maximum occupancy allowed on the reservation. We also ask you to follow the good neighbor guidelines and abide by quiet hours after 9 pm.
- Please do not trespass on property boundaries
- Ticks, bugs, and wildlife are a regular part of Upstate, NY. Tick prevention sprays for yards are very toxic to animals and pets, so we do not use them. Please be mindful of checking yourself when spending time outside.
- Tents, yurts, and other camping equipment are prohibited
- Please note, this property does have exterior cameras for safety and security. These are only located on the exterior of the property, never the interior, and will not be monitored during your stay unless an issue arises.
Please be advised that every 30 minutes spent on the property past 11am check out time a $50 fee will be initiated and charged to the card on file used to book the listing. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

We really enjoyed OwlsNest. The quiet, isolated location was just what we wanted. The nearby hiking was great. The house was very comfortable though a few areas needed a little bit of TLC. Hosts provided a nice selection of teas and coffees.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Owl’s Nest! We were looking for a remote hideaway with proximity to activities in the region, and this lovely place in the woods fit the bill for us. It is very private, has nice kitchen facilities and a washer/dryer, and is very clean and has lovely interior design. The private path in the woods was perfect for walking our dog, and the honor grocery store down the road provided farm fresh eggs for our breakfast. Be aware that the road to the Owl’s Nest is a bit windy and narrow, but it is worth it when you get there. Check-in was easy, and the host was a prompt communicator. Bonus: sparkling apple cider from a local orchard was waiting on our arrival. We loved this quiet spot and are already thinking about when we can come back!

This little hideaway in the woods, is peacefully nestled away in Marlboro farm and wine country with beautiful hikes right out the front door, but not far from everything. Perfection. Perfection. A screened-in porch, hammock, fire pit, and so many glorious windows with nature all around— this was the blissful retreat I needed. Everything about the house was charming, including the guidebooks included in the stay, the complimentary coffee, tea, and local sparkling apple juice. I was able to bring my pup, who had a ball running around the woods finding new sticks to show us. I cannot recommend this home more.
