About this house rental
Rural property set in the heart of the Grand Champagne region, located in a small hamlet with beautiful views, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. The property is newly renovated and features an entrance hall, a comfortable salon with a woodburning stove, and a kitchen dining room. There is one double bedroom with an en suite shower room.
Enjoy a large walled garden with vineyard views and an exterior covered terrace created from a converted piggery, as well as an outdoor terrace. This is a very quiet location—if you're looking for tranquility, look no further. It is an excellent spot for walkers, cyclists, wine lovers, or anyone looking to unwind and simply relax.
Canoeing and kayaking are available locally. The closest town is Segonzac, where you will find all necessary amenities including a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, and a small weekly market. The property is a 20-minute drive from the river beach and park at Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, and also 20 minutes to the towns of Cognac and Jarnac, both set on the banks of the Charente River with many attractions such as tours, restaurants, parks, and museums. Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire is 15 minutes away and features a beautiful château. The newly renovated Château de Bouteville is just 5 minutes away. Angoulême, the capital of the Charente, is 45 minutes by car. Bordeaux is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away, and La Rochelle is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away. A river beach is within 20 minutes, and a supermarket is 8 minutes from the property.
Cats live on site. The property sleeps 4 plus a small child. The owners live on site in a separate property.

This is a stunning place,beautifuly decorated and spacious, but still in keeping with the old stone houses found in the countryside,it has all that you would need for a comfortable stay,just to mention the bed was one of the most comfortable we have experienced on our tour.The property is totaly private from the main house, with ample easy parking.
The hosts were so kind and friendly advising us of places of interest near by.
The garden is lovely overlooking sunflower feilds corn fields,and you are surrounded by vineyards.
Very quiet and peacful area,except for the odd tractor working in the distance which is what you would expect in the country all you hear are the birds.
I cant reccomend this place enough it is definitely a 20+ out of 10
We both hope to return next year.
