About this apartment rental
Please note we guarantee a one day break one rental to another. The apartement is systematically steamcleaned before and after your stay to ensure your safety and comfort. Medical sanitizers are also used on every surface. Carlo e Alessandra have been trained in check-in/ out to protect your safety*
Our apartment is located in the hearth of the historic centre of Rome "Rione Testaccio", this is a strategic area with many cultural sites within walking distance such as Circus Maximus (1,2 km) and Coliseum (2,3 km).
We are 100 mt. from Tiber. Cross the bridge, and you are in the Trastevere district where you can enjoy every Sunday the fantastic flea market.
Termini Train Station is 4 Metro Stop and the subway Station Piramide is 300m away from the apartment, Ostiense Train Station (from FCO Airport) is 800m far from the apartment.
A beautiful walk along the characteristic river Tiber bank (Lungotevere) will bring you in a few minutes to the site of "Bocca della Verità" (1,3 km famous movie spot where we suggest you take some photos). Here you can chose different tours: one option is to walk along the "Roman Stadium - Circus Maximus" towards the entrance of the Coliseum and the Imperial Forum; a second one is to proceed along the Tiber, a route which will easily lead to "Campo de' Fiori", passing along side the characteristic Jewish District. To catch a majestic viewpoint of the city, climb up Colle Aventino (one of the seven roman hills) which will entice you with a romantic sight of Rome from the “Giardino degli Aranci' and where you will see some of the oldest Churches of the city.
The best part is how accessible it is. You step out the door and you are at a tram/bus stop. So it’s easy to get everywhere. The bus/tram/metro system in Rome is great.. You can also get to the Metro and a regional train with either 2 stops on the bus or about a 10 minute walk!
OUR apartment is the perfect blend of space, comfort, for 2 people, is a refined work of the "Architectural Cristell & De Andreis", is in a nineteenth century building with concierge (Alessia), overlooking a characteristic and quiet courtyard, it is on the 3rd and last floor (with a new, modern elevator).
There are original ceilings and floor, bright along day and evening, completely renovated with deep-colors and soft lights giving you an intimate atmosphere; it is overall 50 square meters wide.
It is structured by a comfortable living room with a well-equipped kitchenette (a toaster, an electric kettle, coffee maker NESPRESSO, microwave, etc) TV LCD and dishwasher; a large Double Room (25 mt) with a wide double bed and a sofa , TV LCD 32'; big-marble bathroom with a new Box shower (mt. 1.20), bidet, a warm-towels, hair dryer, kit bathroom with bath towers, bath slippers.
It shows elegant finishing touches: Vertical Steaming, 2 TV LCD, Air Conditioning, Autonomous Heating, FREE WI-FI ADSL 24H.

LOCATION
After a fatiguing day as a tourist one can enjoy relaxing moments as a “roman” moving inside the Testaccio district, a little away from the tourist area...the food is fabulous, the costs for things a good bit less and you get a little more of a feel of everyday life while easily being able to get everywhere else. You will find every kind of shop you could possibly need within the neighboring blocks—butcher, wine, pasta, bakery, small supermarket, etc. and just a few blocks is Testaccio Market filled with all the charm and treats of Italy—-everything from shoes to vegetables, baked goods, etc. , and with internal small bars offering good 'expresso' as you relax enjoying the sun.
Why us? The owners put up to your disposal: maps of the city, some suggestions where to go within the neighborhood associating sights with nice and pleasant atmosphere; bathroom kits, sleepers and breakfast supplies: Tea Twinings, coffee, jams and fruits. Luxury touches in a relaxing ambiance designed for your complete comfort, all included in price quoted!
THE BUSES lead us directly to: St. Peter's and Vatican Museum (Bus N. 23); Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona Pantheon (Bus N. 30); Villa Borghese Museum (BUS N. 3);

Carlo met us at the unit and was very responsive to all our needs. The rental was in a quiet, safe neighborhood where we felt like we were part of the daily action right away!

Carlo & Alessandra could not have been more kind and welcoming. Communication before arrival was excellent and, as an 8th generation resident, Carlo's local knowledge and advice were invaluable. We went to the restaurants etc that he recommended and we weren't disappointed.The apartment is well equipped, very clean and very comfortable. Carlo & Alessandra also include a generous welcome pack.The location in Testaccio is impressively authentic. The restaurants, cafes, gelaterias & shops offer delicious & superb produce at good prices. Links to the main attractions & city centre are good and easy.Just a word of caution to those, like us, visiting Rome for the first time. Make sure you validate bus & train tickets in the machines provided. We didn't know about this and, although we had tickets, we were fined by transport police as we got off the bus at Vatican Museums for not having validated our bus tickets - 108!!

I was completely impressed by everything about this apartment. It's in a great location with easy public transportation virtually outside the front door that gets you everywhere you want to be in Rome.Many wonderful restaurants abound within blocks. This is a local neighborhood and had a very safe and friendly vibe. Although there were other tourists in the restaurants, it really is a hidden gem - a great contrast to the full-on tourist crazy that is Trastevere - which is only a 20 min walk away, just across the river.Carlos, the owner, was very nice and explained everything and provided a thorough overview of where things are located nearby. The apartment was spotless and looked to be recently fully renovated. The only thing I would point out is that there are multiple diffusers/fragrances and potpourri's in the space, which I enjoyed. But if you are sensitive to those, this may not be a good choice for you.That being said, if you are considering this hidden gem, I whole heartedly suggest you book it. It is a perfect place for your Rome adventure - full of charm and it provides a truly authentic experience.
