Full of art from local artists and vintage finds, comfy furniture and best of all the extra large screened porch with rocking chairs. Truly a southern charmer of a home! This home is a historic home, and the homeowner has added an additional full bath for a total of 2 1/2 baths! Yet another unique feature of our home! This is half of the duplex with Enlisted Men's Mess Hall on the other side. Both sides are quiet and have private/separate entrances. Need space for a large family? Rent both sides!

Love the large screen porch. Ate lunch and had coffee on it every day. Quiet location with quick “secret” path to beach. Play park for the kidos is right behind it. Good parking driveway close to house. Charcoal grill was a bonus.

We really enjoyed staying at Screened Inn. The online description is very accurate, but it doesn't say just how cool the accessories and decorations are in the place. The whole experience felt very authentic to the time frame of the property. We loved the front porch and spent a good bit of time there. The beach access isn't "typical" but walking through the secret passway felt like a grand adventure. Dealing with Mermaid Cottages was the easiest communication with property managers I've ever experienced. They were available on the spot, courteous, helpful and so polite. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again.

Had not been to Tybee before but a friend recommended these cottages. From the point of making the reservation to the entire stay, the people and cottage were excellent. So close to everything (food, lighthouse and beach). Add the history of the cottage.
