We stayed in the end of April 2019, 80 degrees, tropical breeze made it perfect - not muggy or buggy. House was better than pictured. Bedrooms were spacious. Everything you needed was there to cook in or relax. Wifi was great! 2 pools w/ water falls were beautiful. Air conditioning was quiet. The best part was Saul taking us on tour of 69 acre jungle on the property to the meditation huts. Saul could not have been a better host! He even drove us to town 2 times so we could indulge in adult beverages, took taxis back. Quick 1 1/2 hour drive from Cancun airport, 15 minutes to Tulum city Center, 20 minutes to beach hotels/restaurants. Car rental is a must, driving in Mexico was very easy. Location was very easy to find. We loved waking up to the family of turkeys, peacocks, chickens and the cat. The animal noises did not wake us up or keep us from sleeping, beds were soooo comfortable. A woman washed down all the walk ways every morning so everything was perfectly clean from any animal droppings. Saul built a bon-fire every night in a huge fire pit. One night Saul & his son played the violin and guitar, it was so tranquil and beautiful. If you wanted totally privacy you could get it, if you wanted to ask Saul a thousand questions you could. Saul gave us a referral to an Italian restaurant ( Mango's) 5 min from house - it was the best Italian I have ever had & you dined in the jungle with sand at your feet and palm trees swaying over you with candles & twinkling lights. Chedraui supermarket had cheap prices and anything you needed(like a walmart with alcohol). We highly recommend seeing Coba(Biggest ruins & you can walk up), Tulum beach - bring your own cooler and snorkel,Grand Cenote - swim with turtles & fish, the monkey sanctuary where we held monkeys & parrots, you Must drive and eat fried fish & lobster at Chamico's - tables & hammocks in the sand you could spend the whole day relaxing there, Pancho Villa's near Tulum ruins on the beach, Diablito(outstanding Mexican & Asian) & Ziggys (eat on beach front) on the Tulum hotel beach zone, Don Caleto in Tulum city - get mexican platter, cheap. We also got a day pass to the all inclusive Dreams hotel for $85 which got us all you can eat & drink from 8am-11pm, no reservations needed for any restaurant. Recommend exchanging money in Tulum city, there are a few exchange stores we drove down main street and found a few with varying rates - look for the best rate - worth it! Overall perfect place!

We spent 6 nights here with our two young adult children. We had a great week and enjoyed the access to Tulum, Sian Ka’an and the beach as well to Coba and the cenotes. The hands down highlight of our stay was the opportunity to spend time with Saul and the Mayan school children. We were grateful to help twice during the week with English and art, as well as with the bottles for the walls of the school they are building from recycled materials. We had one meal prepared for our family, which was very good and provided copious quantities that even filled up our 6’3” 18 yr old son with leftovers to spare! Although, it was not prepared by Christina (the chef mentioned) it was still delicious and a very good value. We made all breakfasts and lunches ourselves in the kitchen that was stocked with the necessities, including a nice cooler and thermos water jug for packing food for excursions. There was also bottled water for consumption. As far as accommodations go, if you stay here, you are likely to be someone who is game for a unique experience which combines jungle, farm and urban living. The photos online accurately represent the cool house, but the grounds are much more “rustic” than pictured, with a resident family of turkeys, chickens, a rooster, peacock (male and female), and bunnies. Being in this setting, we saw a variety of birds and bugs. The house truly is located right next to the road to Coba 16 km from Tulum. Between the road noise and the rooster, we found the best way to sleep was with all windows closed and the bedroom A/C units on. There are two beds and a fold down futon. I think 6 would be a bit tight unless they were smaller kids. There is an upstairs apartment on the 2nd level of this house. It was not apparent to me when we rented this unit that we would be sharing this property, but it really was not an issue at all. The yoga studio, which we had access to, is on the 3rd level though, in a loft above the apartment. Access to the yoga studio involved walking through the living room (screened in area) of the upstairs apartment. Again, while we were there this did not present any issues at all. The WiFi was sufficient for our needs. Our family enjoyed our stay here. It is a unique property, Saul could not have been kinder, and I think we will remember this experience fondly for something different from the typical luxurious all inclusive Mexican resort vacation that many places offer.

This was an amazing first time experience in Mexico. The travel was an easy ride with exquisite scenery. Upon arrival to the house I was in awe of the high ceilings in the home. The architecture was stunning! During the times that we stayed in for being exhausted, lounging at the pool and having Christina serving wonderful dinners really put it over the top! We'd enjoyed how fast and flexible Christina and her husband Saul were with answering any questions that were asked. The yoga studio is much bigger than expected and was filled with a ton of natural lighting! We weren't sure on activities or places to site see when we were there so having that pamphlet to guide us during our stay made it more convenient to explore an unfamiliar territory for us. On our next visit we will definitely be booking with them again as it was truly a pleasure to have stayed there.
