About this house rental
Located in the Old Village area of St. Simons Island, 607 May Joe is nestled among the oak trees on a beautiful island street. Within walking distance to all the main attractions on St. Simons Island you and your guest will enjoy the ease of making a trip to the Lighthouse, shopping areas, restaurants, or the beach!
This 2-story home is a craftsman style cottage with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. With an open floor plan concept this home has plenty of room for all your family and friends! Everyone will enjoy the large flat screen TV along with the sectional couch in the family room or gathering outside on the screened in porch while dinner is prepared on the gas grill!
With a gourmet kitchen that opens to the breakfast nook you can cook and converse with your guests! The kitchen has a great gas cooktop and there are three ovens for baking. Stocked with cooking items and utensils, all you'll need to do is bring the food!
Once you are ready to retreat to your master suite for the evening you will be delighted to rest on a memory foam bed or relax on the love seat for a while. Enjoy the comforts of your own private master bathroom with a soaker tub and a view of the sky and trees. There is also a separate shower, his and hers vanities, and a heated towel rack! In the morning step out onto your private porch and enjoy a cup of coffee to start your day.
There are three additional bedrooms well suited for your children or other family and friends. One large guest room can sleep up to 6, perfect for a kid's room or parents who are sharing a room with their kids. It has a queen bed as well as a bunk-bed with a double/full mattress on the bottom and a single mattress on top. There is an additional spare mattress stored under the double lower bunk mattress that can be placed on the floor for another person.
The second guest room has a king bed and a single day bed. Perfect a couple or children!
The third guest room has a full-sized 'Murphy Bed' (folds down from the wall). This room also has French doors that open onto the screened-in front porch. As well as a separate door that opens into the 'Handicapped accessible' bathroom with a shower on the first floor.
There is a 'wheel-chair' accessible ramp at the back of the house that enters the family room.
The home located next door, 609 May Joe is also available for rent for larger gatherings!
Pets of any size are accepted for a $150 fee
Golf cart at the home is not available for guest usage.

Place was a great set up and very friendly check in. Great walking distance to everything. Only complaint is very little hot water and place very musty/moldy smell

What a wonderful vacation home. Close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, parks and attractions. Easy drive to East Beach. This home had everything we needed and then some. 3 porches! Fenced in yard. Very comfy beds. Fully stocked (pots/pans/appliances/coffee makers, etc...) kitchen. Nice big table for eating...plus another (for more eating...but made a great desk and puzzle place). Upstairs and downstairs laundries! Well cared for...good communication...we got 3 free bikes with our equipment credit! We loved our stay and hope to return to St. Simons Island. Thank you!

Fantastic stay had by all. Great location for on and off island trips. Really comfortable space for all. Best stocked kitchen in a rental house. Comfortable spacious bedrooms for everyone. Lovely neighborhood,

Property was great, and perfect space and location for a large family. I understand it was over Christmas break but water pipe froze and could not get any help. If the temp is not going to freeze wonderful place..
