Beautiful home in Cortona (AR)

This holiday home (two-family house) is situated at an altitude of 600m in a small borgo above Cortona (18 km). The two-family house has a large private terrace with a view of the valley, the separate pool area is about 70 metres below, also with a large sun terrace and seating (shared with ITA222). From the terrace there is direct access to the eat-in kitchen, from the kitchen to the large rustic living room with sofa bed and open fireplace as well as a separate entrance. From here, a wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where the three bedrooms with two bathrooms are located. The master bedroom also has a separate entrance from the mountain side. The former farmhouse has been restored in a rustic style and tastefully furnished. Baby cot on request. The owners' family live in a neighbouring house in the borgo and are happy to provide guests with advice and assistance if required, and the entire outdoor area is fenced and surrounded by hilly woodland. There is a small restaurant about 2 km away (see also ITA262/ITA263). This holiday home is suitable for families who enjoy a quiet location, fresh air and lots of nature. Excursions can be started from here on foot, by bike or by car in two directions: on the western side is the Etruscan town of Cortona, which is well worth a visit with shops of all kinds, restaurants, museums, art galleries and sophisticated life; a little further away is Montepulciano (40 km), Pienza (50 km), Arezzo (50 km) or Lake Trasimeno (35 km). To the east, you will find the Umbrian towns of Città di Castello (35 km), Gubbio (50 km), Perugia and Assisi (around 60 km). And if you find the choice too difficult, you can also simply stay in your little paradise on site and enjoy a marvellous rest. The owner is happy to cook local dishes for her guests on request.
