INTRODUCTION:
❁ Experience Colorado Springs (2018 2nd best place to LIVE! - US News) at our lower west side private cottage/apartment. One private bedroom, bath and living/kitchen area.
THE SPACE:
❁ This cozy and adorable crash pad is attached to the main house but is private with its own entrance, private bathroom as well as small kitchenette with amenities such as cook top, mini fridge and basic utensils for simple meals. This unit is small but very functional and cozy (About 300 sq. ft. total)!
❁ NOTE: This apartment is located below the upper apartments deck area. When that apartment is booked there can be some foot step noise etc. when they enter or leave but it is minimal.
❁ Best of all - walk less than 500 ft. to Red Rock Canyon Open Space for endless hiking/biking trails. A mile to Garden Of the Gods look-out and five miles to downtown. Close to eating spots, 10-15 minutes drive to Manitou Springs and 6 minutes drive to Old Colorado City. Everything from all American/Bars/Taverns/Italian/Mexican/Sushi to fast food! Ideal for couples and hikers looking for a comfortable place to crash and shower.

I stayed there for work. It was the perfect little getaway to crash at during my working weekend!!

This property is as advertised on Vrbo. It is a "crash pad". If you are ok with that, then your stay would be fine. Thin walls and ceiling made sounds seem like they were inour suite. Late one night, we were treated to a group seemingly yelling to.find a lost pet.
Towels were dirty when we first arrived. Owner did get them replaced but only after contacting them since the site manager's cell # provided was incorrect.
Little things to be aware of: There is no way to close the front door to the suite except by bolting it. There are some different mini levels in the property (step up in the middle of the bedroom to get in bed, step up to sit on the toilet, etc.). There is an extension cord plugged into the bathroom outlet that goes into the back rental unit. Why?? There was an extension chord laying across the entry way by the garage door over a full day and night. The TV doesn't seem to shut off with the power button on the remote. It goes off after 30-60 minutes of a screen saver.
On the plus side: the owner was very responsive. The place is very close to both Garden of the Gods and the Red Rocks Open Space. The shower was nice.
This is a great choice if you want to crash after biking or hiking all day. Just don't expect much in the way of accommodations. Probably perfect for an 1-2 night stay. Longer than that, it may be uncomfortable.
