About this villa rental
Villa Cataleya is a stylish 5-bedroom villa in a fabulous location at the entrance to the whitewashed village of Frigiliana - just a 10-minute walk. Nerja's beaches are a 10-minute drive away. The villa has a private pool and offers stunning views of both the sea and surrounding mountains and countryside.
The villa is spread over three levels - you enter via an impressive entrance hall at the lower ground level from the private parking area which leads up to the upper ground floor. Here you will find one twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom, the modern separate kitchen and open plan living and dining room. From here there are large French windows out to the covered terrace overlooking the pool and garden - ideal for al fresco dining whilst taking in the stunning views. Up on the first floor there are two Kingsize double bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite bathroom - and one twin bedroom. There is also a further shared shower room.
Villa Cataleya is an ideal place to spend your holidays with your family and is also ideal for two families traveling together.
Facilities include a fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, washing machine, safe, free wifi, TV with international channels, air-conditioning in all rooms. The villa has private off-street parking which will fit two cars, a private pool (6.75m x 3.85m and 1 - 1.5 m depth), barbecue, outside furniture and 10 sunbeds.
All rentals include bed linen and towels which are changed weekly for stays over 10 nights. End of stay cleaning is also included. We have a range of optional services available at an additional cost and subject to availability - including welcome food packs, cots, highchairs, beach towels, additional housekeeping, taxi transfers and pets (on request) ...

Nerja and Frigiliana really do offer something for everyone – whether wandering around the typically Spanish streets of whitewashed houses and the famous Balcón de Europa in Nerja, shopping in the lively commercial area, enjoying the many water sports available at one of our amazing beaches, hiking in the incredible Sierra Almijara or making the most of free tapas still served with drinks in most bars – you’ll never be bored!
The local caves – Cueva de Nerja – and the neighbouring hillside “Pueblo Blanco”, Frigiliana, are incredible must-sees during your stay. Further afield but within easy reach there are waterparks, aquariums, zoos, golf courses, the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain range with fabulous skiing over the winter months and the beautiful Andalusian cities of Málaga, Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Nerja has a great network of public transport – or you can hire a car to discover the area at your own pace.

The swimming pool and the more than enough badrooms

We are an extended family of 11 and the villa was perfect. The views of the sea and mountains was breathtaking and the villa itself very spacious.
The pool was larger than expected and we spent much of our time swimming, playing games-there are some inflatables- and relaxing.
The gate from the veranda was welcome with a 3 and 4 year old in our group.
We loved the restaurant Pura Cepa in Frigiliana.
We had read in a previous review no table tennis equipment so we took our own but there still is none provided.
Worth being aware that the taxi situation in the daytime is pretty dire. And the bus to Nerja approximately every 2 hours. We wish we’d hired a small car for supermarket shopping etc.
There are small supermarkets in Frigiliana which are walkable.

The villa was perfect for our annual getaway of 6 women friends. The villa was beautiful, the photographs didn’t do it justice. It was spacious, comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. We Particularly enjoyed the outside area with the lovely pool.
We had great communication with the company and they organised our transfers to and from the airport and they allowed a slightly later checkout which was appreciated.
Picky things only - some dish towels would have been useful as well as more dishwasher tablets . This certainly did not detract from our enjoyment.

The property is fantastic, spacious, clean, great location, fabulous pool and great amenities. Great air con and good sized garden with the pool. 5 minute walk into town and far away enough to be quite.
