This property, a semi- detached villa, named “The Secret Garden”, is situated in the most panoramic sea promenade in the charming town of Santa Marinella .
Gated Security Access to this unique property with inside parking for one automobile is through a small, pretty garden adorned with palm trees, bougainvillea e and luscious semitropical Mediterranean vegetation.
The Secret Garden is comprised of a two level sea front apartment. The first floor living area, elegantly furnished with period furniture, is situated on the first floor and includes two double bed rooms (one air conditioned) and two bathrooms (one en suite). There is a small but fully equipped kitchen, large sitting room and dining area. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door opens to a terrace which commands spectacular unobstructed views over the splendid bay of Capolinaro .
The second floor is small but charming. It also faces a spectacular and very spacious top floor open terrace, decked out with an elegant “Art Nouveau” gazebo, ideal for entertaining and enjoying breathtaking unobstructed views of blue Mediterranean. It includes one double bedroom and one single bedroom with shower room, basin and toilet.
Public beaches where the water is balmy, calm, clean and whose transparency seems to invite bathing, are within walking distance (there is a charge for renting long chairs and sun umbrellas)

As soon as I walked up to the gate and looked into the garden, I knew I had someplace special! The owners were able to accommodate me on a last-minute request, and I appreciated this.
When you walk up to the first level, there are two sliding glass doors with the most gorgeous view of the sea pulling you in! On this level there are 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and a beautiful Murano glass chandelier. Continue to walk up to the next level and there you will find two additional rooms plus a gorgeous rooftop terrace.
This house was built in 1847 and there are pictures from that time all around the house.
My company and I spent every evening on the rooftop terrace with a bottle of wine and proper Italian snacks. There is a small kitchenette on the rooftop to keep everything cold.
The house is about a 10 minute walk to the train station where you can easily get to Rome in 40 min.
The town itself is a beautiful seaside town with a lovely, beaches, and great restaurants all within walking distance.
When traveling back to Civitavecchia to catch my next cruise, I will choose this property to stay in.

From the first step in to this marvellous apartment I fell in love. Such a wonderful place with space for everyone (5 ppl), the terrace ... omg the terrace, the beautiful terrace, the balcony where I had my morning coffee every day for our month there. I knew many things about the place from the ad, of course, but beeing there is something else. Waking up to the sound of the ocean every day was incredible.
The apt is fully equipped and everything worked just fine. At one or two times we needed assistance with the heater and the electricity and Sr Luigi, the handyman, came almost in a second and everything worked excellent. The landlord, Sr Vinci, is a wonderful person. So kind, so generous, so helpful and with so much concern for our well being in the apt. I can not recommend this enough.

We loved every second in the house. Lovely view with its location “on the water”. Three bedrooms with three bath fitted us perfect. We were 2 adults with 4 youngsters. The roof terrace was priceless. Lot of space for breakfast outside in the shade, and nice evenings enjoying the breeze from the sea.
Very clean. Everything we needed was there and the owners very service minded and nice people. Short distance to beach, restaurants and the train station (40 min to Rome).
Highly recommended – we hope to be back soon.
