About this house rental

Kirk stables is a 4 bedroomed 3 bathroom single story former stable block set down a private drive in its own private grounds.

It has an open plan layout with a modern fitted kitchen ( Built in Cooker , Microwave, induction Hob , dishwasher ,fridge, wine fridge and Quooker hot water tap) The kitchen has all cutlery and crockery you would wish for to host a party of 8 . There is plenty of wooden boards and serving plates to make a meal extra special.
You will not need to bring anything .
We provide all cleaning products and also food bags, tin foil and baking paper.

The large dining table accommodates 8 with ease. There is central fitted wood burner which we provide a days logs. A large TV with freeview , Netflix and all WiFi related channels. Music can be provide via Bose bluetooth speaker. Seating is two triple sofas .
There is an armchair positioned in a small reading area with a selection of books .

Large family bathroom with freestanding bath and walk in shower, two ensuite bathrooms with Shower and wc.
We now have a fitted shower chair to help less abled bodies guests.
All 4 bedrooms are of a good size , 3 of which have French doors to own private space whether this is the decking or a small
Patio with chairs and table
Two bedrooms have TVs, 1 bedroom ( twin ) has DVD / TV and Xbox 360.
Utility with fitted washing machine and all cleaning amenities required for your stay.
Outside is a decking area which is south facing . It contains a large 8 seater Garden sofa with table that you can dine at, an gas Outback BBQ( provide Gas ) and 2 sun loungers .
The luxury is a large Hot tub which sits in the decking with a view of the Dales . Parking for up to 4 cars, paddock for games and dog exercising .
We also have an outdoor professional table tennis table for fun outdoors.
There is also a warm welcome in the Yorkshire Dales.

This house is family friendly with all
Amenities including buggy and carrier rucksack but also why not bring your other family member .. your dog
We love dogs and there is lots of space for the dog to play and roam . Note it’s farming land surrounding the house so we can not ensure your dogs safety.

As we are in the most stunning setting with everything you and your guests need. We have WiFi, Netflix and smart Tv’s for all Entertainment needs

A really lovely property in excellent condition with first class facilities. The kitchen has a really high spec, it amazed us what it could do! Our only gripes were the very squeaky doors to the bedrooms and the motion detector lights in the bedrooms but it truly is a lovely property and we would recommend it at a drop of a hat. The views were stunning, especially from the hot tub

From the first message I sent to the host to the last message, the communication has been amazing! If I could have scored any higher I would have! Exactly as described and more, stunning property with wonderful decor to suit the stables! The surrounding area of the property, the fields, the decking and patio area is all set up lovely and very well thought through from the gardens to the rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s all very family orientated, all of the little things are very well thought through. We all loved it. It’s very modern and what’s even better is it’s disability friendly which was what I was looking for specifically!! Would definitely go back again!! Bonus was we got to see and meet the cows as the came for their dinner from and to the field that passes the property! The bath was also a star of the show for our family!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, the house is beautifully finished with lots of space. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and we made good use of the living space. Ann was brilliant at providing all the information in advance. My only slight request would be to have some larger pans, cooking for 7 with a small frying pan was quite tricky!! Thanks Ann, we hope to return.

This is a beautiful property in glorious part of the country. Everything you could possibly want is provided by the owners. There is also plenty of everything so no washing up every time you have a cup of tea or use a plate. Communication with the owner is excellent and very informative. A wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it.

A wonderful property in a great location to enjoy the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. The property had a good range of kitchen utensils etc.. and cook books. All bedrooms were a great size. The views and local walks were lovely and overall a wonderful base for my husband's 50th birthday while he walked drom Bowness to Ilkley ( we know its usually done in the opposite direction)

We had a wonderful few days at the lodge. Lots of room inside and out to accommodate all the family. Plenty of glasses, serving dishes and everything you need to cook for a larger group. We enjoyed family meals around the large table and also enjoyed the BBQ and breakfast on the outside seating area. Adults and children enjoyed watching the wildlife in the field, listening to the owls from the hub tub of an evening. Honestly everything has been thought about to make a family break easy. We will definitely be back.

The location was ideal for us and the house was very well equipped. On a sunny day the building did get warm, but open a couple of doors and some fresh Yorkshire air blows through. Skipton surprised me - what a lovely town.

We travelled as a family with tow young children. The accommodation was excellent, very modern, clean and got everything we needed. The location is ideal if you want peace and quiet, but close enough to the small village of Embsay and a short drive to Skipton. We will be back.

From the moment we booked the owner (Ann) made sure we felt welcome. Ann couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating from recommending places to eat and things to do to making sure the house was ready for us. She even put up a Christmas tree and decorations. The home was exactly as described and everything was in good working order. Embsay is a lovely little village and the pubs make you feel very welcome and serve good food at good prices. Skipton is a short drive away and is a very pretty town with a nice array of shops etc. We took our dog with us so managed to walk around the village and surrounding area and the views are stunning. Would highly recommend but please don’t book Christmas just in case we are able to return!!!!

Kirk Stables is a lovely modern renovation of an old stables in a beautiful setting. Property is as it shows in the photos. It's well supplied to get your stay started. Ann, the host was very responsive.

My family so enjoyed their stay at Kirk Stables. First off, Ann went above and beyond to help us get to the property without mishap, as, coming from the States, both driving on the left and the Yorkshire area were new to us. I am so happy we chose this location as the area is beautiful and the house has a breathtaking view. The picture does not do the house justice. The house was also well equipped and we were able to make some great meals for our British friends. We also enjoyed eating out at two local restaurants in the village. The only item we could have used is a drip coffee pot for fresh-brewed coffee. We would certainly come back to Kirk Stables if the opportunity presented.

A group of friends and I stayed at Anns place for a weekend and had a beautiful relaxing break. It has all the amenities necessary. The bedrooms are a great size and there is a lot of living space. The garden is definitely fit for purpose and the hot tub is a great addition. The communication was great, and they were extremely helpful with anything we needed. Many Thanks

We stayed in this property as a group of six adults, three couples and had the best time. The house was so beautiful, clean and comfortable, really well stocked and the hot tub was an added bonus. The views of the surrounding countryside were stunning. Ann was the perfect hostess, communication was brilliant from start to finish and the welcome gift was very much appreciated. We had a lovely week at Kirk Stables-an extended family group with grandparents and a 9 and 11 year old. The location was great-the house was a ten min walk to the centre of the small village of Embsay (and a great pub) and a 50 min walk into Skipton which we did a few times as well. The hot tub makes the house-we spent every evening in it, with amazing views. The weather when we were there wasn't hot enough to sit outside most evenings, but it was definitely warm enough to sit in the hot tub. Excellent communication with the host throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This holiday home was absolutely perfect for our family holiday and didn’t disappoint on the ‘wow factor’. The house itself was clean and well laid out for socialising, with a great amount of space and facilities. The outside area was a huge bonus. The hot tub was a luxury addition and the paddock was good for outdoor games! We visited loads of great places and the house is ideally located for some really nice days out (Steam train breakfast, Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey, Fountains Abbey, Wensleydale Creamery and lots more). Billy Bobs was a nice last day breakfast location too! The house was private and quiet with loads of parking for our 3 cars. The only downfall was we only stayed for one week and we would’ve loved another couple!!

A beautiful property done up to a very high standard. Has everything you would need. Lots of surrounding land, hot tub was brilliant- a nice luxury for the weekend! Ann was very patient with us and quick to respond to all our queries! Skipton was about a 40minute walk from this accommodation/ 5mins in the car. Lots of pubs/things to do and see in the surrounding areas and there is an especially lovely restaurant in Skipton called Alexanders which we made an advanced booking for. Planning to book again for next year! Thank you Ann for making our stay perfect x

We found the property an ideal base for the Yorkshire Dales, plenty of walking during our stay and the Hot Tub was a very welcome relaxation after a long day out on the hills. Signal was fine, we did not miss having no Wifi as it helped stop us looking on line so much and unwind more

Wonderful long weekend away. The barn is spacious and beautifully furnished with a great open plan layout which meant as a big group we could cook and talk and eat and relax all in the same space. Comfortable beds with en-suite and a huge family bathroom with a great deep bath. The extra touches of slippers and gowns for the hot tub made the whole weekend extra easy and enjoyable. Watching the sun go down from the hot tub on the deck was simply stunning. The sunrise from the lounge, equally so. The owner even considered everything for our grandson which was just lovely and ever so practical when travelling with a baby. Fully recommend short stay here and a long stay would have been even better.

Stayed here with a group of my friends to celebrate my birthday, Alex and Ann were fantastic hosts, they were in contact with myself and my friends to have everything in place - balloons banners etc, for our arrival. The accommodation was warm and cosy and yet there was plenty of space for the 7 of us. The scenery was stunning, with beautiful views of snow capped hills while sitting in the hot tub with a glass of Prosecco. Lovely walk to the local pub and only a short distance from Skipton. All made for a perfect weekend away, can't recommend highly enough, thank you Ann and Alex

We booked this for a little family time and it was perfect for this, the lay out of the property with 4 bedrooms to the sides of a large communal living/dining/kitchen area meant we could all stay in the company and still prepare meals etc. The Stables had literally everything you could possibly need, it turned into a game trying to find something that wasn’t provided, needless to say you want for nothing. Communications with Ann were first class from the moment of booking and throughout our visit she was alway very quick to answer and was very proactive, we had a small issue with the kitchen drain blocking, and she had Alex en-route within 20 minutes, although he wasn’t needed because they also had a sink plunger ! The place itself was immaculate with great attention to detail, functional yet homely and super modern but with a rural twist, all the appliances were very high quality. We had our 7 month old twin grandchildren with us so Ann had cots, high chairs and toys ready for us, which meant we didn’t need to carry travel cots etc. The bedrooms are 2 rooms off each side of the main area, and the beds are soooo comfortable en-suite rooms on 2 of the rooms again very top quality, large overhead showers perfect after a long walk. If you dont get a room with en-suite dont worry the family bathroom is fabulous, free standing bath and wet room shower. The hot tub is a must, even in January, it was all ready for us to jump into, and a nice way to spend a night chilling with a beer and chatting. We didn’t feel the need to move far from the Stables but the surrounding area is lovely, we did go to Bolton Abbey where there are several nice walks along the river, Ann also suggested a nice walk, which we would have done if we could have dragged ourselves away from the hot tub and the free standing log burner in the middle of the room. My only complaint is i didn’t book to stay longer. And the family are already planning a summer visit, A long weekend for quality family time in beautiful surrounding and a fabulous place to stay.......Perfect, thank you so much Ann.

Very spacious and modern house in the countryside. Everything you could need and more. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day in the countryside or town. Sipping a glass of champagne looking out to the view! Bliss. Owners were very helpful!
