Great stay in Skipton would definitely return.

Went for a special family birthday with children and grandchildren 9 people in total.. Lots of rooms with the added bonus of en suites for everyone. . The location was great for everything, we got parking for 2 cars on the road outside the property easily enough. Large dining table which accommodated all of us , although we did eat out most of the time. .I would book again if returning to Skipton .

The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was very loose and one of the showers was a little temperamental . However this was only minor things .

Fantastic location and very spacious for all the family, had everything we needed for our two night stay

Slightly dated and the beds were doubles and not kingsize, this is only a preference as we sleep in a kingsize at home which made sleeping uncomfortable

We hired the house to celebrate a family birthday and it was ideally located for our needs.

The property was ideally located near the centre of Skipton within easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants and the canal. We had hired a canal boat for the day and it was within an easy walk. There were 10 of us and a dog and there was plenty of space so we were not falling over each other and it was nice that we could all fit around the dining room table to celebrate and play games. There were four couples and two singles so everyone had a bedroom and bathroom each. I would definitely stay here again if we were wanting to stay in Skipton.

Good house for a group of friends or extended family walking distance to shops and centre of Skipton

It was a big house which accommodate extended family for a wedding at the Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey. Very close to Tesco's so could nip out for things.

Single beds would have been better with double duvets on them.

Great location, everything right on the door step.

Parking was a little bit of a nightmare as we had 4 cars. Some of the neighbors were not happy about us parking up but nothing we could do about that as a car had block the back parking at the top!

Victorian charm in the centre of Skipton

Great location - large and spacious for all the family and excellent heating for a place that size ( specially over a very cold Xmas !)

Quite a few stairs but we were aware of this when booking More outside space would be nice in the summer but fine for winter

A good, comfy place for a big group

Excellent location and a good size for a large, mixed group. All rooms are comfy, bright and warm for the autumn evenings. Having plenty of bathrooms allows everyone to take their own time in the morning, while shared spaces are suitable for doing different things at the same time. Parking didn’t seem to pose any issue and being next to a fairly busy road didn’t disturb anyone due to good soundproofing. Separate room for laundry - if required - is very useful.

Hot water didn’t seem to last very long in the morning - later showers were often tepid or cold. Oven is a bit fiddly to operate and should really have some instructions to help people understand how best to use it. Kitchen not terribly well equipped for large catering - would benefit from more trays and some larger pans/casserole dishes.

Fantastic property for a small group of people, each room pretty much has it's own bathroom, all with comfy beds. Simple key collection process. Great location, a few minutes walk into Skipton town center, and easy access to Yorkshire Dales. Fully kitted out with all you would need, and great kitchen and dinning area. Large living room, with plenty of seating.

Parking was a little tricky, but we found plenty of spaces on side roads, so never a real issue.

Westfield house was lovely and clean, it had all the facilities required and was ideal situated for our walking trip to Yorkshire and just a short walk to Skipton Town giving us easy access for any assitional needs if required.

Spacious social areas, fantastic central location, near supermarket and station. Sophie and her husband were very communicative and quick to respond to any issues ( eg Wi-Fi wouldn’t work so he came round quickly to sort it out - someone had reset the password!)

It was very clear in the description but parking was tricky - we had 4 cars between us and it was pot luck if you got a space outside the house. We did find spaces in nearby streets so not a huge problem.

Ideal location for the crematorium, sad occasion but made easier as family from two counties could be together in this lovely home. The host was great and quick answering any queries.

very pleasant house close to the centre of Skipton

it was large enough for us all to have a bedroom. the lounge was big enough for us all to sit around and chat. It was close to Skipton centre. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of crockery and glasses. The dining room was lovely with a table big enough for us all to sit around. The beds were very warm and comfy.

Apparently there was a problem with the heating so when we arrived the place was very cold. Because it is a large house it took a long while for it to warm up so if you go in winter i suggest you make sure the heating has been put on before you arrive. The atmosphere in the lounge was not very cosy and it took a long time to get warm. There was not gas fire so no cosy feel. It could do with some cushions and more lamps. The parking was a bit of a problem as you can’t park outside as very busy and it was pouring down when we arrived…. that’s why we were disappointed that the heating had not been put on for us.

Great space and good price point, needs modernising in areas

So much space, and easy access. Great communication from the owner, all warm and well appointed. All clean and easy to use.

Some spaces really need a refurbishment- the room we had had a very small ensuite and felt very 80's, and claustraphobic. Certain rooms are more modern and more comfortable where as some obviously haven't been updated from when it must have been a hotel/B&B. The mattresses are incredibly soft which is a preference, but these are particularly squishy.

Highly recommend!

The location is excellent, we didn't need a car since it is so close to train, bus and taxi rank - plus a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in Skipton. The supermarket is 2 minutes walk away. For family members that drove to stay with us, they parked on the road outside the property half the time and the other half on the backstreet. 7 bedrooms is hard to find, so we were very happy to be able to all stay together. The house had a exceptional large dining room and table that we could all sit around. There was plenty of room for us even though we filled the place to capacity (8 adults, 4 children).

As a former B&B, these are mostly ensuite rooms (all except for the two single bedrooms) which is fantastic for privacy, but they are quite small and a little dated. Overall we were happy to have so many bathrooms.
